Yes. Entertainment has killed the sport of professional wrestling, and Vince has made the sport of professional wrestling into a total disaster, with so much cheating, interferences, betrayals, raunchy scenes and horrible conducts. Furthermore, they care about rivalries rather than contenders to fight for championship. When is ever gonna change??

My prediction that's what's left of wrestling today would die out by 2030 looks like it won't come true but it will die off eventually. Older fans are dying off and younger fans give up once they find out it's "fake" for the most part. Very surprised it's still going.

As I always say there are alternatives. Sure some are less convenient than watching Raw on USA or SmackDown on Fox, but they are worth the effort. And WWE does have some good stuff too. Bianca was the champ for over a year and I just can’t hate that no matter what.

Here’s a twist though - I watched it as a kid, stopped watching in my late teens all the way through college, then got back into it as an adult. I think a good product can touch any age. Now what’s good and to whom? Well that’s a different question. Is it as big as it was in the late 90’s? Or mid 80’s? No. But the fact there have been boom periods is actually sort of the aberration as opposed to the norm. It’s the expectation that it should be as big as Macho Man, the nWo, The Rock that throws things out of whack. It doesn’t die - it’s just bigger for short periods and smaller for long ones.

Many have tried to replicate it but few have succeeded.

What they call modern wrestling is just boring to me because everyone is the same. No one travels like they did in the old territory days but to each their own.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for old school and territory wrestling too, but I wouldn’t say today’s wrestlers don’t “travel.” They may only be in one company, but that company goes to Japan, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, and so on. These guys travel a lot! I don’t envy them being on the road all the time week in and week out.
