I've seen a lot of people say they burned up a 6s motor running it on 8s. Nice video.

Hey Kevin about gas powered buggy you got to get the magneto to flywheel by putting a gap tool between flywheel and coil make sure magnets up toward your coil to get spark
As far as the motor pronunciation you do you kev nothing better than that

Next time you take the heatsink off, put some thermal paste (same you use on a PC processor) between the motor and the block. Helps get more heat off the motor.

I'm pretty sure brushless DC motors are in a star configuration. If you test the resistance between each winding to see if there is continuity between each other to see if it ok e.g. A-B, B-C, C-A. It looks to me like one of them failed. They should all read similar resistance's I believe. Worth a try.

love the vids, i do have a question will the castle creations 1717 1650kv motor be a drop in replacement for the older traxxas motors? or will i need a motor mount to be able to use that castle motor?

I fixed a couple Velineon rotors by using JB Weld on the shaft.. Just put it on there move it around to make sure you get it in there evenly.. Wipe it off and let it harden for a day or so.. It may work on a bigger motor.. Won't cost much to try.

Crashed my X-Maxx horribly 7 times now, I am talking 9+ flips wheel to wheel rolls throwing the body into the air etc.. slap the body back on and away it goes haha! Getting used to mid air flip control finally Cheers Kev!

Kevin I was wondering if you have a problem with your pinion gear sliding on the motor shaft ? I have tried a new set screw with teeth on the cup and thread lock liquid . I let the thread lock dry for 24 hrs and the pinion gear still slides after 1/2 hour of use. Any ideas 😎
Hey Kevin, I’m a new subscriber and new owner of the arrma big rock crew cab. I’ve had the truck about a week now and yesterday the motor froze up on me, it’s not spinning smooth. It has a grinding sound to it similar to how striped gears sound. I’m new to the electric cars. Any idea why or how this happened so early? Thanks!

Don't worry mate. I moved from Liverpool to Canada and all I get is "what?" "say that again" or "how are you going to get that tv in your boot?". Don't get rid of your music and how about a challenge. Xo1 with paddle tires across a pond 😊. 100mph across a pond would be epic!

You should probably start running a bigger heatsink and a bigger fan on your higher power motors, should make them last longer without getting too hot.
were can i get the 6s motor from kev? seems as it is discontinued . i still hate the fact that a 8s is slower than 6s. it doesnt make sense to me.

my velineon out of my slash had completely exploded it was making awful noises and i thought it was just a diff or gear kept running it until the wheels locked up seized so hard it broke the spur gear, i took it off and there was dents in the can, took it apart and the magnets were shattered and ripped the hell out the inside of the coils and whatnot..
Just so you know I'm American and I don't care how anyone pronounces motor. I get what everyone is tring to say. Screw grammar nazis! I like watching your videos.

Random question. I got a cheaper ecs and brushless motor senseless and it just shakes every time I give it throttle then shuts off and restarts.. is it the rec or motor. Also should I get the castle creations sct for my 2wd slash or the sidewinder 3.. Or 4

Wow I finally found a helping video I thought I burned my motor out turns out the magnet and rope around the center shaft cracked and tore everything apart inside it any ideas on how I can keep that from happening again please I’m not the wealthiest and I don’t want to spend 250 on a new motor every time

My fan motor started making more noise and producing vibrations. I did smack the poop out of the xmaxx to cause it. I hit a hidden 4x4 in a field.
