Sadly, she is not coming back. You don't buy tickets and fly home from the trail unless you (at least subconsciously) plan on not coming back. That ridiculous 40 mile day really took its toll.
You sure have suprised me that you've hike this far up into pa. I first was doing traul magic around the 3 rd week in april for 2 days at the Whiteville exit off interstate 40 in madison County,nc. I had driven up to max patch and hiked up to the top of max patch bakd where i ran into a young lady doing trail magic for you and 3 to 4 other hikers. All of you were shivering setting up ontop of max patch right after the sun has just set when the temperature had already drooped down to around 34 degrees. All of you hikers were hustling trying to get down off the max patch bald to get out of the high winda to try settung up your tents. I was the bug guy with white heard that talked to you all for a couple of minutes. Telling you to get down lower on the bald hillside.
