    I love the video I've never had my motor this tore down but I did have to remove my IP.
    I took the inspection plate off the timing gear housing and made my marks and proceeded to remove my pump and housing. I did what I had to do and put everything back together.

    Best video out there that I found by any chance do you have the part numbers of the seal and gaskets ?

    Mine is a 91 7.3 NA, has a serpentine belt not the V belts. Also, if I'm pulling it off I'm replacing the water pump. Cause you know this one will fail when it's cold dark & raining. I just love the way Ford mixed metric & SAE on the same bracket. When I can I swap them out to all SAE. I also like the red injector lines !

      Metric threads and SAE threads are not interchangeable. You CANNOT swap them out.

    Your waterpump is OE. The part number on it has the letter 'C,' second to the last character of the part number. Thats an International part number.

    What year is this motor?... It is like mine but kind of curious how it would get out of time. Mines a 1992 7.3 I.D.I. Mines not out of time but curious how it would get out of time.... Thanx

      If you have to take your IP (injector pump) off for any reason and end up moving the ip gear out of alignment

    What radiator do you have and where did you get it

    • @TheFSeries
      @TheFSeries  Před 3 lety

      Radiator was on the truck when I bought it; Champion makes a great replacement that won't break the bank.

    What was that thing? U called it an air something compressor? Never had one of those

    Now if you had removed the plate on the injection pump and put a mark on the housing and on the pump and not turned the crank you would not have to remove the front cover and line up the timing marks. Not sure why you did this?

    • @TheFSeries
      @TheFSeries  Před 4 lety +2

      Had someone helping that pulled everything off as 1 unit.
      Seems to be the usual method and then people end up in the same boat I was in so I figured I'd try to help.

    • @TheFSeries
      @TheFSeries  Před 2 lety

      It isn't hard, just line the timing marks up, install the cover plate and you should be fine.

    Do not use locktight on fan clutch. It's a great way to get punched in the face.

    what in the wold does replacing the front seal have to do with static timing. "Nothing"
    Yes "AT THE END" you show how to "Manually align " TIMING GEAR Marks (A no brainer) But It has Nothing to do with actual "Static injector timing" which involves IP timing advance marks and/or internal pump pressure that changes "pop" pressures and therefore advances timing!
    "Thank you for wasting my time" ~ Must be a democrat ~ :P
