    • @blvdjewel2549
      @blvdjewel2549 Před 7 lety +45

      VAI0294 What - when did that happen? A LOT of men are not dependable and look for short cuts to "make it" and a lot of them were abusive on top of that. Many women (who also had a father like this) were forced to face the reality of having to take of and look out for themselves and try to keep their family from being totally decimated - if they had children. So, no we don't have time for BS. However, we still LOVE and prefer our black men above all others (many black women are single because they will not date outside of their race) even though a lot of these mwn continue to take a dump on us by trying to blame us for everything that's wrong with their own lives.

    • @blvdjewel2549
      @blvdjewel2549 Před 7 lety +33

      VAI0294 You are the one that is confused. BLACK MEN & WOMEN CREATED THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT TOGETHER. By the way, before there was civil rights movement, there was a woman named Moses (Harriett Tubman) because she led many slaves to their freedom. What man can claim that? Frederick Douglass' 1st wife of 40 yrs TOOK HIM INTO her home after they met KNOWING HE NEEDED HER HELP to become self sufficient. So they worked together as a TEAM. Using her own resources, Mary McCleod Bethune, who housed, fed and educated black people, advocated on their behalf to President FDR through his wife Eleanor - BEFORE civil rights.....I come from that stock. So, if a strong black woman offends you - that is your problem and I consider you a blight and a menace to my people. Also, you don't know zip about me or my socioeconomic status so you can go and SIT DOWN.

    • @VAI-to3hb
      @VAI-to3hb Před 7 lety +18

Though distressed, thank you for your dedication in providing us with great music. This song brings chills to me in me being only 2 years old when this came out. My mom played it a lot! Its now 2020 and in listening to it feels great. Sort of like seeing an old friend you've always loved and haven't seen in years. Your music along with your brothers and sis was transcendent! It didn't matter we had this cassette and it's tunes letting us know we were gonna be ok. The 70s were the coolest times. House parties, cheap concerts and brothers and sisters who vibed together with tracks like this going in the background. We didn't need drugs, we had soul.
