We use melted butter in each layer. It makes it so much easier.

I love monkey bread. Oh so yummy.
Glad I waited till the weekend to watch this or I'd have been craving it too long. I've got the cutest little half-batch size bundt pan (like the cakes you get from KFC) and it will be perfect for this. With only 2 of us at home now yummy treats full-size are dangerous! lol Hope you have a great weekend, I'm going to get that in the oven right now! This is a very good and easy recipe, I made a whole bunch up in loaf pans and bunt pans and they all turned out so good, thank you so much for sharing

gonna do this for Christmas eve
I love making Monkey bread. My husband loves it when I make it. FYI when I coat the biscuits pieces with the sugar mixture I put it in a zip lock bag and shake till all pieces are coated. This way you use less bowls and coats better. I Also melt my brown sugar with the butter till a Carmel color then pour over the biscuits in the pan. It comes out real gooey and delicious. Looks so yummy! I make one similar to yours, but I melt the butter and mix with the remaining sugar mixture and pour over the biscuits. I might try your version too! Tfs!

We buy a frozen version sometimes, but most of it goes to waste because it's only good while it's warm, once it cools all the pieces end up hard.

You are so welcome. If it gets cold and the pieces get hard sprinkle a tiny bit of water on the amount you want to warm up, wrap it in aluminum foil and stick in the oven on 350 til it warms up. Thank you so much for watching. :)

Hello Jan. Just a suggestion. When I make monkey bread I pour the sugar/cinnamon mix into a zip lock bag and then add the biscuit pieces and it coats the pieces evenly and faster. That came out beautiful. I could eat that whole thing! LOL. Tfs. :)

Substitute that sugar with brown sugar . Then you will have the best ever monkey bread.

I had a recipe for monkey bread, years ago, but never made it. In that recipe, you made the dough, then cut it in strips, and tossed it in the pan like you did. So, when it's done, you just pull the strips. I'm definitely going to try yours.
YUMMY😋 It's also a lot easier if ya use your hands for the sug/cinn mixture. 🙄😁🤫🤭🤣

Hi, Quick question, once baked & cooled can monkey bread be frozen? It's just me & hubby so I would need to freeze most of it if possible. I'm a new subbie. Tks in advance.
After rolling the biscuits in sugar & cinnamon you are susposed to melt butter brown sugar cinnamon together and pour over the biscuits. This makes a very sweet and sticky glaze. Then bake.
HI, jan!!! I have an idea for your volu,e on your videos. You could use one of those really tiny microphones that you put on the collar of your shirt. That way you can still speak softly, but we will be able to hear you more clearly. :D

You know, I'm not too sure, Jan. I'll ask around and see if I can get more info on how to set something like that up. A Bluetooth mic would be ideal Bc it would be wireless. But I'll check on that.

U could put sugar mix and biscuits in ziploc bag and shake it all over.
I just made some and the biscuits were raw in the middle I followed the recipe was similar to yours gonna throw it away maybe I need a different biscuits.
I didn't have butter used marjoram maybe that was my problem or I'm just a lousy Baker
And speaking of icing, that drippy white icing made with powdered sugar, milk and vanilla is great drizzled all over this bread! Like its not sweet enough!

Can you help me? Three times recently we have tried making Monkey Bread, only to have 70% of each "pull apart" being done, while the remaining 30% is not baked through completely. We have tried, making the 'pull apart" smaller, using a different bunt pan, higher temp, longer baking time, but nothing works. (BTW, our oven heats perfectly) Please, any suggestions? send too: Mike@TravelTable.com
