Patience is definitely a key to collecting. I always get to October/November with an itch to buy, always forgetting that some of the great stuff and deals seem to always pop up around Christmas. Great cards Rick!
I had forgotten Hack Wilson played for the dodgers. Don't you just love it when a guy like that plays a year or two for your team so you can have them in your collection? Al Simmons and Ricky Henderson are those guys for me.
Hey RIck, love the opening on being focused. When you love cards as much as we do it is easy to get distracted by other items that take you from your goals. I am glad you kept your focus so you could add your Ted Williams. I am still figuring out exactly what i want to do for 2024. I have general goals, but I think some of the specific cards I am targeting has changed. I like the look of those Batter Up cards. Beautiful Hack Wilson card. Crazy story about Mungo. He is lucky to of gotten out of there. That Sam Leslie card is wild looking. He looks like he is about to fall over. Congrats on getting the Lindstrom to finsih the set. Interesting that they changed the size of the cards. I appreciate you taking the time to share some of your knowledge on the players. Enjoy the Rams game tomorrow.
I talk about focus and I STILL need better focus that's for sure. I have a plan for 2024. I know you'll have a very focused plan. Your collection is so extensive that anything you add will look great. I've never seen you buy a card and ask "why did he buy that?" SO please don't buy a Connor McDavid or Alex Ovechkin card on me now, LOL. The Batter Up set is pretty cool. Love the Hack Wilson card. The first Mungo card I showed I like as well. I am glad I found the Lindstorm. I was starting to think I was never going to buy it. I have the same issue with the 1929 Kashin. Del Bissonette never shows up and he's the last card I need. Hack Wilson has TWO cards on the Dodgers and they are not easy to find. I don't know if he has many cards period?
