Hi Tori! I personally would still love it with or without the lights. I actually plan on making a huge one without light. Also, if you don’t want to go through the trouble of stringing the lights through, you can always place one of those overhead light fixtures they put to light over art pieces. They have those overhead light thingy’s at IKEA or can get online…Hope this helps and let me know how it turns out hun! 🤗 ~ Helen
