I work as a hairdresser and we're apart of the sustainable salon company. All the hair we cut gets donated and used to clean up oil spills to keep our water ways clean. They also take any chemical waste and use that in construction sites so it doesn't end up in the ocean. They also recycle any packaging, foils and equipment that might break down. It's honestly amazing the work they do

Fun fact, if your car is stuck on the tracks there’s normally a phone by the gates you can call ahead to warn them.
I can’t imagine how traumatising it would’ve been for the driver of that train (if there was a driver, apparently some trains don’t or something) to run into a car and not know if anyone was in it or not
The rail authorities are Nazi's about what's on their tracks, the driver might not have even been breaking when he hit the car, they would have know if there were people in it.
Yeah, unfortunately many drivers get PTSD from hitting people. It's not like they can do much when they see someone on the tracks. Usually its too late to stop, so it's pretty much inevitable

@@Qwerumas The car dies on the track. Otherwise definitely crash through the barricade instead of having the car get destroyed and possibly derail the train. I don't get why they couldn't push that car off though. It's not some 16 wheel truck with 1 guy to push it.
Two things come to mind when thinking about how that car got stuck on the tracks. One there was a huge traffic jam and instead of waiting behind the tracks, the driver thought it better to wait in them. Two, the driver saw the dividers coming down and thought they were Vin diesel or something. Either way it's usually always the driver's fault.
And the fact that they didn't just back up like the other drivers was what made it worse. Like, just hit reverse and get out there like the other drivers...
Not to mention all the time it takes for those arms to have gone down in the first place... they watched the arms go down. Then waited until the train was only a few hundred feet from them to decide to get out and just leave the car for that poor conductor to have to hit and be traumatized

The locomotive hitting that car really hurts me because I've worked really hard to build those locos. I'm happy that everyone was safe.
Leaving the dumbass driver inside the car would have helped to improve the human gene pool.
Really wonder why the car was stuck there. Even in the scenario where the barriers close (which indicate trying to get onto the rails way too late) you're better off just ramming through the barrier or at least positioning the car more to the side... Sounds like typical stupidity.

@@ann377 No. Some trains do have magnets all along the tracks, but they don't turn off for cars to cross. This isn't a maglev train anyway. The only thing stopping these people from leaving the tracks as soon as the gates started coming down was that they're so incredibly stupid that they can't just back up. The bar may damage their car a little bit, but now they totalled their car and caused major damage to the train.

1:33 They were FAR too close to the car and train still! This exact incident happened to my brother years ago. My brother got stuck on train tracks and was able to safely exit his car. He made a call but within minutes, a train arrived so it was too late to stop it. He stood about 20 feet back and thought he would be perfectly safe. However, when the train hit his car, it was sent spinning violently nearly 50 feet right past where he was standing. He was SO lucky his own car didn’t hit him! If your car gets stuck in trains tracks, get far away from the car/tracks and warn others to stay back as well (after making a call first of course to warn any trains and hopefully prevent the accident entirely).
Railway barriers in some countries are purposefully made out of plastic, so when you get stuck in between you can possibly speed up and go through it to save your life. IMHO it's better to damage the car while breaking through the barrier than to leave it on the railway and risk the life of the train's passengers.

My brother’s car was actually stuck in the train tracks, so he couldn’t move it. He was on a super dark country road going to a new friend’s house for the first time, and thought he was making a left turn onto a road. It was actually train tracks and his car got stuck.

Dude, I can relate so much with this poor owl. There was a huuge thunderstorm the other day, and me and my cat was lying in bed, almost falling asleep, a big boom came and we both got so scared and made a big jump. We just clinged to each other for the rest of the night.

That owl was adorable, I feel bad for it - I think everyone went through an 'afraid of thunder' phase in their childhood. Also, the shark information seemed good to know... even if you don't live near the ocean, lol. I'm not sure about the guy with the liquid nitrogen being a "professional" though, I don't think a professional would just handle liquid nitrogen without insulated gloves, that stuff's dangerous!

In fact, it's more dangerous if you use gloves, because that can prevent your body heat from reaching the liquid nitrogen, so it will stay on the glove instead of evaporating and cool down the glove to liquid nitrogen temperature, which will then cool your hand to liquid nitrogen temperature, which is definitely not healthy

I find the sound of thunder very relaxing and comforting actually. I love that there are plenty of long videos on YT with nothing but relaxing images and nature sounds. For instance 'Thunderstorm At Sea Sounds and Lighthouse - Stormy Sea Ambience, Wave Sounds 10 hours'.
But I also feel sorry for the little owl. It has no idea what it is and it was alone at that time.

Watching this video again. I noticed the people whose car was stalled on the railroad tracks, they had plenty of time to push that car safely off the tracks, just that little bit of stupidity cost the rental agency several thousand dollars. @@rosesonmygrave9290 yeah, the heat from your hand basically make the liquid slide off around you instead of just freezing you so it's much safer than gloves which would just freeze then give you frostbite. Got the info from nilered or someone like that on youtube a while ago.

The glove can freeze to your hand, but if you get a small amount of liquid hydrogen on your hand, you'll protected by the leidenfrost effect.
There's actually a video by a scientist on why the gloves are more dangerous to wear because they will freeze instantly while your hands can be pulled out of the way before they freeze

@@neilfraser1235 Because it's for the sake of understanding an experiment, this is actually a common but dangerous experiment that is no longer done at schools that involves liquid nitrogen and water in a bottle, resulting in high gas pressure. If anything we have only gotten safer about it. It's safe if done alone and you understand what you're doing.
