Hello, guys. This is a new testing video. What do you think about it? I changed camera position so you will see a painting from the first person view and of course background. Was blue background better? Also, I put on screen product which I use. I will be glad if you will write me your opinions. I am open to suggestions and new ideas.
It's a really good format and you should do more videos in the same style!
Thanks for your feedback.
looks great, all the details are clearly visible. Keep it up;)
PLASMO - plastic models Really enjoyed the video. I look forward to more.👍🏻
it is perfect
You just helped raise the bar for a whole lot of modellers out there David. Great instructional vid!
This is the new reference now.
You have the skills to make it look easy David - and that's what keeps me drawn to your videos. It inspires me to keep working on my own models and skills. I'm really greatfull for you taking the time to teach us your skills - and my 109 eduard build is now on its way thanks to you.
Thank you so much for your terrific video tutorials! As a returning, older modeler I find your videos as a great inspiration to get back into the hobby.
Extremely helpful! I am mainly an armor builder but your videos have made me want to try aircraft. I bought this exact kit to try out soon and this video has come just in time. Thank you as always for providing this extremely valuable content. It gives me the knowledge and confidence to attempt subjects that intimidate me as a modeler.
I know this videos kind of old but I want to thank the person who made this video I appreciate the great references I will get when I tried to build the cockpit on my 1/48 scale Revell Stuka I bought the cockpit upgrade kit and was lost when it came to bending certain photo etch metal Parts but you gave me some insight I appreciate that you are a Supreme artist. I wish I could be a quarter as good as you.
Top notch. I like the new format. Nice to see different brands used as well in your videos. I like how you use new processes and materials to achieve great results. Good to see when certain attempts fail (as in the diorama sand tutorial).
a great demonstration , everything showed up very well and the camera angle was good. I look forward to seeing the next one . well done
Your videos are excellent and this new cockpit one is really great. Your explanations are really clear and I like how you tell us what paints, brushes and other products you use.
Very nice results and techniques. Many thanks for sharing this with us, it was both interesting and very useful.
Have fun,
Joe
Very nice David. U have a good, steady hand, and a keen eye! Always a pleasure to watch. I do like the lighting and closeups you employed in this video.
you are a great teacher and a master modeler..!! Im learning so much from your builds....thank you!
Very nice and interesting techniques. This will definitely be useful, thanks for another great video!
Amazing result! My first Eduard 1/48 BF-109 is coming my way next week (Wilde Sau dual combo) and definitly inspired by your result!
I made an old Airfix Hawker Hurricane Mk.2 and used some of the techniques you used in the FW190 cockpit video didn't work quite as well but I was pleased with it will definitely be using some new techniques from this video, thanks!!
Always a joy to watch THE Master at work. Thank you very much for sharing and the immense motivation your Videos bring. Please NEVER stop. All the best to you. CM.
Like always fantastic!Thank you for your guides!

Like always a very good video, the POV is a great idea imho. Keep up the good work!
You do amazing work
Dostal.Scale.Models/
looked professional and the new way of camera positioning was very helpful, your a pro now 👍
Great, I am glad you like it.

simply beautiful
Good job!!
That was GREAT!!!! Thank you...
David, great guide.
Will you show us your workstation sometime? :)
fantastic video!
You are a genius!
Gostei muito, parabéns!
I love it, congratulations !
What a pleasure to watch a tutorial that is so clear, concise and informative. Keep up the excellent work.
Awesome! Excellent job Thank you :-)
Thank you Sir, lovely as always.
Silly question time, anyone know what that large pipe thing on the right side of the cockpit (see 6m 30s ish) is for. Seems that Messerschmidt forgot about it until the last moment and added it as an afterthought. Good job the canopy opens the other way.
I will be building G-6 version in slovak markings so this is really helpfull :) Dobrá práce jako vždycky, smekám :D
awesome! and any modification of the aircraft, and some firms can provide a link?
My opinion was another masterclass sir. Everything about the video was superb. Congratulations and respect from England.
Nice Work !
Nice work. I wish Eduard could get their instruments up to Waldron model products standards
Who are the 18 people that gave this a thumbs down? It's incredible work and very educational
good video , brother, thanks a lot.
Interesting stuff. Question: Is it possible to make decent washes out of artistic oil paints ?
I always enjoy your videos. What kind of airbrush do you use?
great tutorial David. nice & steady away with relevant information on which paint etc.
the smallest brush I can find is A 0000 but those look even thinner. can you tell me the size and brand please. think I need a few for my detail work
thanks, I used Tamiya High Finish Pointed Brush Small www.jshobby.net/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1250
great work will you be finishing the model as learning video
Bellisima..Thanks for sharing
How did you get the masking tape fit so good ?
great tutorial thanks
Great video, especially like including the PSI and dilution state for airbrushing... One question; do you dillute Mr Super Clear III or use neat when airbrushing varnish? it always seems too thick for my airbrush but thinners don't seem to react well with it. Thanks!
Yes I use mr color leveling thinner. Radio 1:1 or 1:2 always more thinner.
Just purchased the Tamiya Bf 109 G-6. Your Eduard build has certainly provided some excellent tips.
Can I ask, what size is the needle you are using in your H&S Infinity?
Thank you :)
díky
Hi it's very intereting your video, i have a question what is the white cup that you use?
How are you keeping your parts from sticking to your tweezers when using super glue??? LOL
Hello, I was wondering where you get your information about painting the instruments and on the sides? I've started building the ICM 109F-4, but the instructions don't mention much information. Thx for the help.
Hello, great work on the cockpit!! Can you post a link to the micro drill bits that you used? I have had a lot of trouble finding a good set they always seam to be ground improperly.
I have new ones from ebay. The set from 0,1 to 1mm is good. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=micro+dtill+bits&_sacat=0
Hello, what is the pressure on the airbrush you use to apply the super clear III? The dilution with Mr leveling thinner is 1: 1 even?
Found you a few months ago, excellent stuff! Learned alot!
Have a request, when you show your paints, for example Tamiya, can you show the mix ratios? Say like this
XF-2:1 and XF26:2,
that shows 1 drop XF-2 to 2 drops XF-26. You show your combinations, but not the amounts of each paint, Thanks!!
I would like to but I mix my paints just by feel and I do not have any idea what is final ration. It is nice because two same kits will never be same. My approach is that I have basic shade and I add one drop another color. Hmm, it is not still good so I will add another one. I do this procedure again and again until I am not satisfied with final shade. Drops are never same.
Hi!! Good job!!
With what do you rinse the inside of the cockpit?
Do you use RLM 75 just that color? Or do you mix it with another lighter color?
Greetings!!
RLM 66 is used after the silver base, then RLM 75 (or alternatively a few drops of white paint) for the highlights, after the varnish AK Interactive Paneliner Wash was used to define the details.
👍 very good, очень понравилось
What are the painting instructions like in Eduard kits? All your builds are highly detailed. Is that from your own knowledge of cockpit layouts, or do the instructions take you through it?
Hi David,an nother great video.
New format is good, newer the less there ok nothing wrong with old one. Please keep the blue background.
You have to do "mottling" technick with this project. Thak you for your time to put this videos for us.
pardon: "technique".
Před pár lety jsme měli u nás na letišti (u F-M) ještě o kousek většího a ten měl i hvězdicový motor...ani nevím, kde nakonec skončil.
I'm following essentially the same steps on a BF 109 that I'm building. Quick question, do you shoot Super Clear straight or do you thin it?
Really enjoying your videos! Can you help me with a query please? I have an old assembled 1:32 Revell Tomcat that I wish to freshen up with new paint scheme and markings, can you recommend something to remove the old paint, decals and satin varnish finish without damaging the model? Thanks in advance... keep up the good work ;)
You can use sodium hydroxide or stripping agent but be very careful with chemicals. Goggles and rubber gloves are basic. images.mysafetysign.com/img/lg/S/wear-goggles-danger-sign-s-2103.png
Maybe will work something like that but it is a metal model. czcams.com/video/FEXxQDwG4HM/video.html
If your in the US, for acrylic paint, Formula 409 cleaner works well.
for other paints use Easy Off Oven cleaner, just spray on, and leave to for for a couple of hours, then use an old toothbrush to scrub the old paint off, repeat if necessary. ( WARNING: Fumes are very bad, use outside or well ventilated area, or you'll be coughing, And use Gloves!)
for small trouble spots just use some paint thinner and a cotton swab.
Hope this helps!
Thanks so much valkyrie013... It's enamel paint and satin sheen varnish that I want to completely remove without harming the plastic kit. I have tried Mr Muscle oven cleaner but it was no good.. I'm in the UK ;)
thanks for this video always very helpful but what is that on the right side of the cockpit. am i to assume that it is a fuel line it just appears out of no where than u paint yellow. is that a piece clear of clear spru that you streched and bent to fit??????????
The whole part is made of transparent plastic, so it was quite easy.
thank you i will try it bf 109 build
When I just tried the technique of brushing off the panel line wash with a cotton bud, all I got was bits of white cotton all over the cockpit. What did I do wrong?
Great job, as always!!! I hope have 1/10 of your skills someday :P . Greetings from Argentina!
This tutorial has a basic level so with this kit you can reach same or better result.
I´m a beginner on this hobby. Actually I´m painting my first model this week (OA-4M) and I´m fighting whit enamel paints, jaja. Thats is the reason of my commentary, so I have a lot to learn from you. Thanks a lot for your tutorials, Every day I learn a bit more!
Hello plasmo from new York. Great video. Just one question. When applying pigment. Do you apply a clear coat after putting it on? You are awesome. thx
Hello, No, I let them without fixing, but you can use flat or semi-gloss varnish. You can also use clear varnish, however, final varnish should be matt.
PLASMO - plastic models
Thank you so much David.
I’m going to beguiling the 1/32 Eduard BF-109 E7 Trop, and the instructions don’t show the yellow line you show on the right side of the cockpit (fuel line?). Was that not part of the E7? Beautiful work BTW!
cool!
Hi, can you tell me what glue do you use for photoengravings? ( seatbelts)
What brand/type of tool are you using at 0:14 seconds...? And where (website) can I purchase one? Thanks.
Qustion, is't any difference between vallejo and AK/MENG thinner?? And if it's what is it by your opinion.
I think many products are same just with a different sticker. Vallejo and AK cooperate together so it will be same too.
Hi David Great video!!
I notice on your videos that you don't prime before painting. How do you avoid peeling off the paint when removing masking tapes? I Really want to know, some time this will ruin my entire work on a model.
Great thanks for your time again
You must clean model before painting in soapy water or industrial alcohol. You just use good colors. The most durable are Mr. Color C or Tamiya with leveling thinner.
Thank you David
I hate you I hate you I hate you, you make it look so easy, No seriously, a master craftsmen, great video, great tips, like the background, the music mix as a background is excellent what is it?. Envious of your skill level....... Cheers Allan
Could you please make a video about the different glues you use and why?
Yes, I can but it will be very short. I use only three types of glue. Revell contacta, Mr color or Tamiya super thin and super glue.
I was just wondering how do you decide which one to use in each situation.
BF 109 K4 ❤️
Beautiful job..it is a shame that after all that work and effort that once the fuselage is put together you cant see most of that beautiful work. I have always said that half the fuselage should be clear plastic to show off the detail of the cockpit, and the interior of the plane like the bulkheads, wiring.tables,benches...etc
What's your impression on the AK paints David?
I do not know yet. It was just my first try so I will know more after painting wings.
If the acrylic comes off easily, is the silver paint not acrylic?
I think that mr color 8 is lacquer based color and this silver is terribly greasy.
