You should try to find out how thick the walls are. This is important in summer because it can get so hot in Italy now, even in the north, and thick walls provide a cooler interior. Thick walls will also keep warmth from heating inside and perhaps heating bills down. It would be useful to know how much it costs to heat the house in winter. I suspect that the walls are not very thick because the real estate page you've linked to states that the home's ranking for energy efficiency is G, which is the worst ("Classe energetica: G").
Hiii! Yes, thank you for your insights🤗 We researched the energy ratings and saw “G” is the highest energy consumption. Definitely something to consider for cold winters in the north and, like you said, also in the summer. We’d prefer thicker walls for the additional insulation, and something we’d want in whatever home we ultimately select. Happy New Year ✨🎉

Very nice house but no land? Please, set the size of the land in the description, it’s the first and more important of the property, you can change everything in the house but nothing in the land, and everyone looking for a house also wants land and a minimum amount of space.
Yep, just a small vegetable garden with this one, but that giant terrace is sooooo amazing and those views are heavenly!! You’re right, people do like land, but if it’s a holiday home, some folks prefer low maintenance. If there is land with a property, and it’s in the listing, we will definitely include it. I checked out the link to the listing that they provided - there is no land on this one but that just means I don't have to cut the grass, pull weeds or worry about watering etc. while I'm home in the states. :)

Truly an amazingly enchanting property at an excellent price. I hope to buy in Italy, but in my case, I am looking into regions where the 7% tax is in place.
We think so too!! Agree on the 7% regions - have you narrowed down which of the regions you prefer - Sicily, Calabria, Sardinia, Campania, Basilicata, Abruzzo, Molise and Puglia? My family is from Abruzzo and Biaggio’s is from Campania ☺️ Happy New Year🎉✨
@@wanderingwithwine Sticking to the mainland, I really like Abruzzo and prefer smaller towns (under the population limit of 20,000 to benefit from the tax scheme) but which are fairly close to larger towns with full services such as Chieti and Pescara.
I am aware of some towns in Umbria which qualify, but they are too far from Perugia for example. Additionally, there are small towns outside of Rieti in Lazio which qualify, but although some of them are in stunningly beautiful, they are a bit too remote for me.
@@petercarroll2323 yes, that all makes perfect sense!! We don’t mind being a bit away from the hustle and bustle, but we want to be close enough to be able to easily get essentials, go to restaurants, etc., when needed.

If not, there are some different long-term visa options depending on your needs and financial situation. The most common types of Italian long-stay visas are (link to webpage below snippet):

The Italy Study Visa - which students over 18 who are already enrolled in an Italian educational institution can apply for.

Also it would be really good to know how close the nearest neighbor is is it house side-by-side maybe kind of some views what the surrounding neighborhood is like if it is close to other homes. As for the language, they claim 56% of Italians speak English, the cities have a bigger English speaking population (as expected), and Northern Italy supposedly has one of the largest English speaking populations. The outdoor space and surroundings is the only reason I would buy this place. house too cave like and dark for me, I would be depressed being inside it too long. But with that said, it is a dream property for sure and though I am not into the house, I accept I may be in the minority.

I agree. The stone ceilings are dark and oppressive. But it is an interesting property and the mountain views are spectacular. But folks, it is at the end of the earth. This is a lost pocket of Piedmont populated by mountain folk, a little insular and introspective.

Nope, not in one of our videos. We found the listing a couple of weeks ago and filmed two Fridays ago. We also show prices in USD, not Euros - that doesn’t account for the price discrepancy you mention but it accounts for some of it.
