    this one time we me and my friend was at a farm and the owner had a Rottweiler unleashed ....we were scared to death to see him run around the yard. all our fear and inhibitions however vanished into thin air when he came near us and one of the caretakers encouraged us to pat him the moment we did that he seemed so happy and kept on following us the whole day...he was a darling....

    the dangers in this breed stems more from the uneducated and irresponsible owners than the breed itself. as a matter of fact I would say that goes for practically every breed.

  • @ChibiMisaki
    @ChibiMisaki Před 10 lety +5

    My Favorite Breeds
    -Wolf Hybrid (I rescued one, people said it was a monster and a crazy animal since its half wolf. I rescued him thinking he was an adult GSD but i found he was GSD/Timber wolf 50/50 and only a puppy but as big as a full grown GSD. He is still with me and my best "dog" ever. He even got his CGC and works as a service dog and loves kids and cats.)
    -Pit Bull, Staffie or any bully breed
    To me they are the best breeds to have. People act stupid and talk about them like they are killers but they never met one or have owned forty. I have. Some were even fought previously or abused. The only reason they fight is because they are loyal animals that will do anything for their owner even if it means fighting. They are made to fight not bred to fight. They are big babies that are loyal, smart, strong and fun. And who ever doesn't love that fat cheeky face and toned body is a fool who missed out on one of the best dogs they could have had.
    -Rotts and Dobs
    I love them, just like bully breeds they are called bad names but they are just as great. The colors are sharp but the attitude is sharper. If someone told me to pick between a Rott, Dob, Pit, Staffie, any of the other ten bully breeds, i'd have a hard time.
    -GSD
    Even though people love them due to popularity from the police, a lot of people don't trust them. You won't hear much about a GSD but you'll hear earfuls about the pit that was actually a Staffie that some moron ruined. But GSD's aren't the strongest but they are the most versatile. They look good and they are loyal just like any other breed. Even though my boy hunter is only half GSD he looks like a giant GSD with wolf markings and coloring, but from afar people think he's a GSD that wants to kill him. GSD's are great.
    -Great Dane
    Everyone calls this dog a giant wuss and while he's gentle he was made for guarding and working. I owned Danes that looked sweet as pie but if you entered their yard they'd chase you down and not hesitate to bite if needed. But what i love about them is the goofy, horselike personality and movement.
    To me wether a dog is half wolf (Like my Hunter(rescue) a direct result of a wolf and German Shepard mating), a wolf dog(not a direct result from mating wolf and dog)
    a bully breed, a giant or large breed that most hate or a mutt, none of that determines the dogs ultimate behavior or limits on what they can learn or do.
    The dog stops short of the owner. Hunter knows over one hundred commands and howls and even learned how to wag his tail(wolves don't really do this) and he graduated top of his class. He is a great animal and its all because I, myself, and a willing trainer chose to look past blood lines or breed and focus on the actual animal inside. To me being prejudiced against breeds is like being racist against humans. It leads to nowhere and is stupid in general.
    Note: I don't support buying wolf dogs or pure hybrids as they can be a handful and knowledge of both wolves and the dog breed mixed in is required plus some places make it illegal. I went through hell in court to be able to keep him here in illinois or wherever he goes and for him to be a service dog. Due to Hunter's excellent behavior it helped a lot and by the end of it all i got permits and paper and no one can complain to me but it cost money and training is different than with a dog.
    I also didn't buy Hunter, I rescued him from a local kill shelter under the impression he was a german Shep, bloodiest from the vet revealed the wolf and the fact that he is only ten months and two hundred lbs and 27 inches, when a GSD is only 26 inches at two years old. Plus later, I found the woman who illegally bred him and asked her some questions and glad to hear, she got in trouble with the law and jail, and decided to never breed illegally again.
    Anyway nice vid. The sharpei was so cute. Love the wrinkles. :)

    Rottweilers are the best . You get the best of all worlds with a rottweiler . You get strength , intelligence , power , loyalty , and love , all in one big beautiful package . Not only that you get an alarm and security system that is far better than ADT! Rottweilers is the only dog you really need . But a Rottweiler needs love too . They need good owners - loving owners . Owners who understand that obedience training and socialization is a must .

Ever since then rottweilers have scared me.

    • @shonnieXsoho

      jim jones well actually wrong. It's honestly about the natural personality of the dog. It's been seen with wolves, even if one Wolf is bigger than another, if the smaller Wolf exhibits a more dominant behavior (although talking about dominance is a whole different story), the larger Wolf if not as dominant as the smaller will back off. It's honestly the nature of the dog in turn. But since dogs were bred by man, it does really depend on how the human raises their dog (along with the idea that all dogs are different, the owner must also accommodate their individual behavior).

      +Martin Kuliza It's a personal preference although the common trend is dogs from the same litter share names starting with the same letter to make it easier to keep track of which batch the dog is from. My first dog, a yellow lab, is from the C batch. My current rottie though is from the H batch - we're free to rename him though the name on his birth certificate is already Hamza.

    rottweilers don't just look bigger, they are bigger. the average weight for a male rottweiler is between 50 - 60kg whereas the german shepherd weighs between 35 - 43kg. regarding height it's 61 - 69cm for the rottie and 60 - 65cm for the german shepherd. German shepherds are faster, though, and definitely more streamlined as you said. and their obedience is mind blowing. i saw an 8 months old german shepherd turn on the spot and come back to her owner when she called her!!!

      There's a reason why the American Pitbull is the top breed people use that are the most popular and successful breed that dominates strength sports like weight pulling, the sport of dog combat, and sports to battle against large and dangerous animals like bear and wild boar like this - www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=YX5tJSNJOiY
      Meanwhile rotts are not and are not the dogs serious or professional people use for these things. Some of the stuff like battling large animals rotts aren't used for at all.

    Thats understandable being scared of them after an experience like that but to be fair it could have been any breed of dog, always approach a rotty with caution as they are very protective of their owners my m8's rotty is a big teddy bear but is you pose any threat to his family or mines (they take a second family under their care) they will bring you down. loving loyal dogs though. my neighbours all have spaniels vicious little things lol

    Rottweilers are awesome dogs. They are big sweethearts. But they are for people who can handle them and make sure THEY don't become the pack leader. They're so much fun.

  • @SensationalBanana
    @SensationalBanana Před 11 lety

    No, that's wrong. It's more than possible to own a rottweiler for first dog IF the person has the interest and a clear goal with their ownership. You can't get experience of owning a rottie without owning one...
