But it’s not we all know Star Wars is trash now except for survivor and fallen order I’ve played all the old stars wars games but Star Wars is trash now 😂and only a few studios do it justice every other studio is questionable 🤨 I still haven’t went back to the classic collection.

How bout a Star Wars game that lets the player base decide what happens in the story and there is a game master that changes between time periods and has different faction that players can be and be able to Start wars around the galaxy be able to blow up planets which when blown up no one can go to them, do tasks from other players and etc I had a dream about a game like this and I had to write it down it would be like helldiver, star field, rust, outlast. Any person could be the emperor or any character you can think and have an effect on the story, gameplay or what happens throughout the universe of the game and it would be played on one giant server.
Bro I just want to play as Darth Revan in a new Star Wars game, or play another entry to Cal’s journey.
The main thing keeping me from playing Battlefront 2 anymore is how bad the immersion is broken in multiplayer and even the co-op mode too. You have a whole plethora of Clone legions, battalions, snow troopers on Scarif, droids using first order weapons, etc. that shouldn’t be there canonically. It just completely breaks the game for me. I feel like I’m playing Fortnite practically.
it wouldn't even need to be 'star wars helldivers', just a star wars horde shooter in a similar style would be amazing. they could have the premise as something like 'you are part of an elite clone battalion deployed in enemy-occupied territory to conduct sabotage missions'
Helldivers Star Wars game would be completely massive. I think even bigger than Helldivers 2 itself. So many planets to hop on, from the Deep Core all the way to the Outer Rim and small part of the Unknown Region.
And you can designated your own Venators name, have a fleet of your own with 3 other squad member.
Combat would be wild just like Helldivers as you encounter not only droids, but the native species that is no longer sided with the Republic. So many thing that could make it great.

I have to be honest, as much as I love Star Wars, i think part of the reason why Helldivers is so popular is because it is its own thing, and people can assign whatever fanbase they want to it. Doom, Star Wars, Starship Troopers, Terminator, Aliens, I can go on and on with different fan bases coming together because they see what made them fall in love with their favorite thing replicated or homaged in helldivers.

Helldiver 2 is basically a star wars game for me cause 1 you fight bugs ( geonosians) and you automatons ( battle droids) and there is litteraly laster weapons and there is an all white armor look so you basically can be a clone trooper
The sad fact is that Helldivers 2 could have been a Star Wars game or a Halo game or a star ship troopers game or a Warhammer 40k game but the owners of those franchises don’t actually care about making good games that their fans want to play. They are more interested in making a quick buck on loot box games or making games that crap all over the parts of those franchises that the fans actually enjoy.

that was literally my first thought while playing it, i mean c'mon helldivers are a group of four commandos staring death straight in the eyes. there could be commando droids which would act like stalkers in bug missions, battle droids, super battle droids, mtt, droid gunships/dropships would take the role of the bot dropships. I think the better equivalent of the helldivers 2 destroyer is the acclamator class assault ship, its one of the smaller of the big space dorito line of star wars ships, and was in attack of the clones movie for ground forces deployment.
Helldivers has Inspirations from all across Science Fiction. There's Starship Trooper Elements with the propaganda and the jingoism, Halo: ODST for obvious reasons, Warhammer 40k, Terminator, Star Wars, Alien, Predator and more.

The heads at Lucasfilm and Disney need to realize that the Clone Wars era is an absolute *goldmine,* and that a Star Wars game like Helldivers 2 would be extremely successful.

If someone made mods for Helldivers 2 to make it Star Wars it would have to have separate servers for people with the same mods as each other which will be Separate groups of Helldivers or Star Wars fans because probably more than 9/10 of the game is going to switch over to mods and Helldivers 2 by itself no mods would be abandon and we lose the 2nd galactic war. If someone is not a part of arrowhead and made a game exactly like helldivers but Star Wars they might get sued because the game is still fairly new and would not be a very original idea right now. Arrowhead probably would not make another game like helldivers into a star wars game until the game is DEAD which will not be happening soon unless they make stupid decisions.
Now I would love if someone remade Helldivers 2 into a Star Wars game where you can board ships, go down and liberate planets as clones and more but it would ruin something helldivers 2 has that is special right now so its best if we do not get one of those kind of games at the moment for the sake of helldivers 2

Immersion is just a buzzword that's very close to being meaningless at this point, and I think what you mean by it could be summed up so much better by just saying... "An interesting world to play in", then "escapism"? What's the difference between that and fun? Or even immersion for that matter. If you're immersed aren't you by definition engaging in escapism?
I'd say it'd be about playing in an interesting world, doing something that feels difficult but fun, in a role that contributes and effects the overall game. You want to have an interesting world to begin with and you want to be able to make an impact on it.

If helldivers 2 was a starwars game: you would not hit anything, your actions would be cannon and ruin years of lore, Disney would take your actions and twist them to fit their own narrative, everything you find is effective would soon show up in a show where it's proven super childish and ineffective and that would be the new cannon. Every tactics would be referenced until the end of time in movies and shows, but also never ever be shown to actually work in said shows. Oh and Disney would still be going strong with starwars nonsense instead of selling the license to someone who actually gave a fuck about the franchise!
