    Hi Jimi! I’m enjoying your video - it’s nice to hear your thought process as you walk through your day in your books, it really helps me understand how I use my planner and whether such things would actually work for me. I do love the sub box idea but I have never found a company that does art that appeals to me on a regular basis 😵‍💫 so I am trying to figure out how to compile my own and it’s harder than I thought! I’m a Planner Perfect friend learning about Cocoa Daisy for the first time - thank you for all your insight! Subscribed and eagerly watching your library ❤

      Thank you, Kat! I am so so glad that my videos encourage you! I love watching others videos for encouragement and ideas as well. 😁 the good thing with Cocoa Daisy is that they reveal what the artwork looks like so far ahead of time, and then you can choose to skip that Month or not. I love that option!

    If you want to record on your phone and want it to fill the screen rotate your phone. This will rotate the camera lense. You have to do this before you put your phone in the device you are holding your phone. Ho you are filming now is with your phone in portrait mode. Film in landscape so you phone is long left to right.

      Thank you so much for that advice John! I actually started using my Camera soon after this video, which works way better of course. But if I do use my phone again I will definitely rotate it and put in landscape mode! 😊

    The striped pages are a newer addition to the Cocoa Daisy "Dori" system, and the pages that you are currently using as a daily used to be sectioned off the way you showed your planner perfect 'weekly' with 2 pages broken into 3 sections each so that you would have M-W on the left & Th-sun on the right. For those that needed more 'daily' pages they had a different system that can be ring bound or use the disks.

      Interesting. Thanks for that explanation Jane. I actually have gone back to a blank journal so I can decorate it or set it up however I want for that month. 😊

    I use both, I use the planner perfect monthly book as love the paper used to prefer the darker colour but the lighter ones growing on me! And in a cocoa covet but use all the cocoa daisy bits for decorating

      That’s what I originally was going to do, but I love the designs on the Cocoa Daisy inserts, so I have to figure out a way to incorporate them while using PP inserts for my main planner. 🤔

    I loved this video comparison! I use PP but have been wanting to try Cocoa Daisy because I love their stickers and accessories. I just watched a video of hers this morning! I think I'll just check out what subscription options she may offer, if any. I will very likely try it out, but not use the dori she provides. I, like you, really enjoy two pages to write in each day. Thank you for your video! 💟

      Thank you Gabby! You can get the Cocoa Daisy sub box without the insert, but you may already know that. 😊 I am definitely leaning toward using the PP insert for my dailies, and CD insert for health tracking. I will be interested to see what you decide to use!

    Thank you for this great video, Jimi! This was great. I’ve learned so much from you. I have those clear folder things that I put my dashboards in and they have a side opening versus top opening. I got them from Chic Sparrow. Just wanted to let you know. 😊

    I prefer Planner Perfect planners and journals but I do enjoy Cocoa Daisy decorations. I can script my day in a narrow size but not the Daisy dori.

    • @jimivane5095
      @jimivane5095  Před rokem +1

      Agree. I started with a narrow size and that worked OK, but it was a planner perfect one so I could use a double page spread for one day. It’s the single page for a day that I’m having difficulty with. I like both Cocoa Daisy and planner perfect inserts - - so I am figuring out a way to use both! 🙌

      I use my Cocoa Daisy insert for monthly notes, or lists, or gratitude, and prayer. I change it up for them. It is fun to decide what to use them for.

    Thanks for sharing your set up I really enjoy seeing how other people use their Daisy Dori. Suggestions for creating more room for stickers and meditative journaling/documenting. You could switch to the A5 dori which sounds like it might be the same or similar size to the wide PP insert (I couldn’t find dimensions on their site to compare to CD tn inserts). Another option if you’re partial to keeping with the standard dori is to add tip ins (these could be journaling cards or ephemera from your day to day you could even add pages by hinging them to the edge of your pages with washi) another idea would be to add blank pages in between each daily spread but this does kinda disrupt the design flow of the layout however you could cut it to a slightly narrower size so you can still see both days or you can decorate the page with ephemera to provide more cohesion. Hope you are able to find something that works well for your planning style. ❤

      Thank you for all those tips Leslie! If I went with the A5 Dori, I would have to buy all new leathers. A5 sticks out from the edge of my wide covers. (i’ve tried that before). But lots of good ideas to think about. Thank you so much! 😊 🤔

      @@jimivane5095 I completely understand the struggle with a size change because of the leathers. I ❤ my leathers. Ugh. The struggle is real!

    Hello Jimi! Have you tried the A5 Dori instead of the TN? The A5 Dori has more space for decor and writing! 🥰 great video! ❤

    • @jimivane5095
      @jimivane5095  Před rokem +1

      No I don’t use the Dori for my daily planning because I really enjoy a two-page spread. Even if it is an A5, I still need the double spread for each day. I do use a standard/Narrow Dori for my Health tracking, and other things depending on the month.

    • @jimivane5095
      @jimivane5095  Před rokem +2

      Thanks Mikia. I thought of that, but I need a double page spread nonetheless. The one page, even though it’s bigger, is still not enough. But now I know… 😁

    I’ve always been curious about Cocoa Daisy. Ive switched to a different company for my journal inserts because this company still uses Strathmore paper. But I still have some Planner Perfect brown paper craft journals which I still use too. I wanted to try one of the Coco Daisy accessory boxes.

      You would love the Cocoa Daisy boxes Heather. They have so many choices as to what kind of box and what kind of accessories.
