Great review of a very good tool. My Workmate 300 has been a useful tool for me for 46 years (I’m 71 yo) and still is in great working order. Even the latching mechanisms are still tight. Only deficiency is one of the feet on the fold out leg broke and won’t stay attached. I use and abuse this tool!

Thank you, this review was very helpful, I agree with your comment about it seeming less robust

Thanks for the comment. I think I'll bring in a few workmates to do a video comparing the difference between them over 25 years.

Very informative. Just what I wanted to learn about this 'new' workmate. Thanks for the review!

Cheers for the comment. We'll have to see if they bring out a newer version within the next ten years lol

Is this the closest I can get to 425 ? There isn't a 425 in Europe..

your white band is twisted or off track on your 825, per the camera view.

Have been considering this one for the lift up clamping as well, but not sure it's worth the £90 odd that I see it for now as does look a bit flimsy, good review.

The lift up mechanism does feel a bit flimsy when it's not clamped onto anything, but as soon as there is pressure applied it seems pretty good. I'm mainly wishing the gap was wider than 2 inches as I have 3 inch table tops that I'd like this to clamp onto.
