Yes there appears to be a loss of colour on the BBC2 junctions at the beginning.

If the Welsh Rugby Union started the league structure much earlier many of the top players would have stayed in Union a lack of a league structure before 1990 was a main factor behind a number of top Welsh players going North to Rugby League
