      Yeah he was repeating himself, we say "je disais" in French meaning I was saying but if you translate it too quickly it can be said "I said"

      French manners, not saying "Bonjour" ("Hi") is considered very rude so he probably thought he was getting called out on that, but obviously the reason was that he didn't mention his call sign

      Because they follow an expected pattern. So if you knew that someone would make a transmission that would include your name, a room in your home that you would go to, and the time you would be cleared to go….then it would make hearing those instructions much easier. So while you dont know the exact specifics of the instructions, you would know the order and format

      Also, direct communications between pilots and ATC are usually clearer than what you hear with these liveatc receivers.

    The description is far from clear here - where it is, for a start, and then you find that it's actually several different clips from different places, and that the first two are nothing at all to do with Ryanair at all

    Yes, it was an error in that they landed long, but these things happen, especially if a pilot is still gaining experience, and there was clearly no danger. I flew GA not jets, but have always had great experiences with Ryanair.

    I'm amazed the Ryanair didn't say "you said expedite vacating and this was the closest exit from the runway", despite it being behind them.

      That’s never going to be the quickest way. A 180 turn takes a lot more time than to just continue ahead. The closest doesn’t mean the quickest.

    I've been a tech since 1980. In fact began with PeoplExpress in 1981. I've had to do taxi/ run-ups in the USA's most congested airports. Like JFK, EWR, LGA, DFW, MCO...ETC, .AND NEVER, EVER...SCREWED UP ! NEVER! This is childish dangerous sheep$hit! 😡

      That is an increasingly rare fact for a mature but still growing airline, particularly one that exclusively operates Boeing 737s.

      Turn left heading 180 after takeoff on runway 22L

      @@soccerguy2433 AEROLANCE was cleared 22L (220) but was on a taxiway parallel to runway 28R (280). They should have been bugged for 220 and when they started down a different heading should have been able to recognize that.

      Get your facts straight - not one person has ever died as a result of flying with Ryanair. And their training and retraining systems are very robust, for both flight deck and cabin crew.

Even in the case of driving, it's mostly because men do the vast majority of mileage and out of hours driving. I used to work in Insurance.
