- Hi all, Dr. Eric J Arts, lead scientist on the HLP project to cure HIV, joined us to talk about HLP and how it will work. Watch the video to learn about why HLP is likely to be cost effective and what Dr. Arts thinks will be the time frame in which a cure for HIV will be available.
The interview shows us how Dr. Arts approaches his work from the point of view of affordability and that should be a big encouragement for our viewers from Africa and Asia.

HIV treatment studies have accelerated greatly in the last two years. I hope a definitive cure will be found within a few years. Thanks for informing us :)
🙏
Indeed
Correct, in the last two years so many concepts and studies have entered a clinical trial. That's why it seems to progress towards cure.
But if you go deep down, to develop concepts , drugs and study in the lab takes many many years for each study.
If you talk about Dr. Arts, he invests his more than 30 years together, continuous hard work then only he and his team are able to develop HLP.
Still we need to wait for the performance of this discovery.
Let's pray 🤞
@palpal4386 🙏 👍
@@palpal4386 let's pray
Amazing ❤
Great information and we are all hopeful
🙏
My doctor told me there are some new patients who started on first ART and were unable to suppress to become undetectable despite strict adherence. they had to switch to second line ART which are more expensive. This really brings hope for everyone . Such studies are so important . Thank you for your work. Hope for the support will pour in
Thanks 🙏
Yeah let's hope so. Prays
Thank sir 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤❤❤❤❤❤
nice job Raj!
Thx Inf.
Wow! Great information! HLP (HIV-Like Particles) looks very promising. A possible partnership between Western University Department of Microbiology and Immunology Professor Eric Arts and Excision BioTherapeutics, which HLP(s) and EBT-101 combined as a multimodal therepy, would be very intersting.
Indeed, the possibilities are endless. What makes HLP unique is its specificity to HIV infected CD4 T Cells, activating and marking them for destruction.
Praise the lord
Please, folks, stop attaching HLP to other therapies. We need a cure to succeed on its own.
@user-up2gl5qt6u please help me understand, what has the lord to do with this? Did he make the virus and is finding a cure for the last 40 years? Do you have HIV?
They are waiting to celebrate 🎉 the final day of announcing the Hiv cure, the prayers are always for you and the scientists to speedy up
Thanks For your Research...
Thanks to Dr. Arts for original research!!
This guy has spoken well ...i think i believe in his approach than the others
Before the interview I told Dr Arts how much I respect him for his years of hard work and knowledge and thanked him for talking to me. To me he is always Dr Arts.
@@ShareTreckHIV I've always been on the notion that most of these research won't amount to anything and some are not in the interest of the developing countries....and these are where HIV is high. But this guy sounds genuine to me
@@user-mn8cz8rn9kDr. Arts has made dozens of years in research.
Hello sir
Great content as always .
Any new updates from CAR T cell therapy trail?
I will check and see. No worries.

thank you gracias your commitment is our hope.

Very helpful ❤❤❤❤
Glad you think so!

Raj do you think HLP will be attacked by immune system once infused? Even EBT-101 was using a vector which had a immune response on it
They got preclinical success. EBT 101 is still viable IMHO.
Need fine tune EBT101
Raj can you make video on gs-8588 with the member of gilead
Sure
@@ShareTreckHIV they’re in spot light as they are doing their clinical trials privately and not under NIH also made patent on it!
When will it really come into effect ? Most are longing for it .
I know it is a rhetorical question. Patience is needed.
Has the FDA approved the first human trial?
I don’t think so. That will be in the works now.
Acho que com a ajuda da IA e todas as informações, uma cura ou medicamentos muito mais eficazes e menos tóxicos serão um realidade bem próxima
I agree. We are yet to see AI deployed to HIV trials so far.
Yes, you are right. We will soon see AI used to formulate bNAB as well as other approaches.
AI accelerates medicine design and trial models maybe? Enlighten me.
@Iloveuallppl sure. One video on that.
@@ShareTreckHIV AI is really iterating fast in 2023/2024.
When is the cure coming to the bahamas
Honestly, I don’t know.
Does he said that the cure of his study is coming in 10 years?
No. Just that a cure may take 10 years
Thank you! And when the clinical trial will starts? Did Dr Eric says anything about the clinical trial?
He has written a grant paper and will need funding from government of Canada. That is why I offered to do a go fund me page for him.
@@ShareTreckHIV I didnt got what you means. Can you please be clear if dont mind?
@baptistasoloka7236 they now need money to get started. They are asking for money by writing a grant paper. Once they get money, they will start clinical trials.

HLP is a sterilizing cure? Sir?
As per my understanding,
HLP at the moment is for long term remission can lead to cure too. But everything depends on human clinical trials, how it will perform on human body.
Probably similar to the Berlin patient. The long term period is not declared yet. This is the objective of this approach. But we need to wait for the results of clinical trials.
The best part of this treatment is cost. If HLP can postpone the viral rebound for 4-5 years minimum . We can do a small treatment course of HLP like we are doing now the immune vaccine for flu. It will be amazing 🤩
@palpal4386 sounds correct. 👍
Not sterilizing but potentially sterilizing in some individuals.
@@palpal4386Thank you! But What I read in the report and related papers mentioned is that it can remove the remaining storage in the body. Obviously, this is a treatment that is different with functional cure. Why can't it be considered a sterilizing therapy?
@Roben_Lee currently it is not addressing Macrophages and dendrites. I spoke about this in the zoom meeting yesterday. Not all dormant CD4 may be activated.
