How To Properly Anchor An Inflatable Bounce House

  • I was watching the news last summer and noticed a inflatable bounce house in Colorado went flying about 50' up in the air. There were some children that ended up injured as a result. I decided to upgrade the stakes and go a bit overboard on the anchoring of my own residential bounce house in order to promote a safer situation. Please watch the video to learn more and tell me your thoughts. Thanks!

Great idea! The only thing I would change is just get a set of stainless caribiner clips instead of messing with the rope. It would make setup that much faster.

I watched your video today, because, in Tasmania a group of kids were injured, one fatally after a large size jump castle was blown in a freak wind accident. However, I thought all jump castles had anchor points to prevent this?
Thanks for uploading this, you will prevent more deaths, if people watch this.

It's a crazy thing to have one of these lift off the ground. I just hoped to bring awareness to the situation and promote safety.

Yes that was a tragedy 5 children dying, I'm kind of getting the impression that the operator in Tasmania like did not enter it down sufficiently .after watching this video the cork screw type anchors seem to be the best type , some people put in straight pegs which can easily pull out

@@JayJay-gl2df I've tested these screw type anchors out for getting my mower unstuck from the mud while using a winch. They really hold well. I made a video about it.

@@MarkThomasBuilder I just watched the video with your mower stuck in the mud that was an excellent video, I'm guessing the mower probably weighs around 450 lbs about 200 kilograms, I think that type of anchoring system to the ground is great for bouncy castles, although it would be handy to keep some of the longer ones in case you have some softer soil and you need depth to get to some denser soil... on a side note the operator of the bouncy castle accident in Australia recently for some reason has closed down his website and moved out of his house and has now disappeared, I really don't know what to think about that

It takes a little practice and patience, but it will go back it the bag.
