I watched you grind this on twitch, I might have to skip this game only because of the duration of play time! But I really want to get into the yakuza Games! Again these videos come in clutch and really help me decide if ima try the plat one day 😂
Well, like I said, I am slow at games these days. Ha ha. I know I said about 140 hours to 100%, but that was assuming you, like me, watched all the cutscenes and listened to all the dialog.
Honestly, you could probably get it down to about 100 hours, depending on how fast you sped through everything. If you skipped some dialog and cutscenes, you could probably have it done in 80, or so. The platinum you can probably have done in about 70 hours.
Again, maybe even faster skipping dialog and cutscenes. I wouldn't really recommend playing that way, but if all you cared about was the plat, it could probably be done. But regardless, yeah I really recommend these games. Hands down one of my favorite game series that is still churning out games.

Im in chapter 9, so far great story
Regarding the Legendary Dragon trophy, its actually much more time efficient to grind the level boosters for all 7 mini games than grinding exp in the dungeon. The points required to buy the level boosters isn't that much, you only need to play a mini game a handful of times to get enough points. I think it took me half an hour or less per mini game to get enough points. Some mini games also has solutions online like the batting center and shogi to really maximize the points without trial and error. Including the 5 preorder level boosters, I only needed to reach level 58 to have enough level boosters to reach level 70 which was before I even finished the Hawaii and Yokohama dungeons. It also made completing them much more easier and time efficient considering Kasuga was already level 70 at that point.
Nice. Solid info for those who might find grinding the dungeon(s) annoying. For me, I just couldn't stomach some of the mini games for long enough to get the points required for the level booster. To each their own. That's one plus to that trophy, you got an alternate way to go about getting it, if you find one way not to your liking.
5:30 i want to correct u there, if u enjoy the first game, there is NO WAY u don't like this one, setting and gameplay much better, the only negative for me is dondoko being too grindy and tryhard-ish, the management minigame from the first one was soo good imo
True. I don't think I've heard anyone who liked the previous game dislike Infinite Wealth. Like you said, it's basically better in all aspects, especially gameplay wise. The stuff that the game does "worse" are mostly up for opinion. Like the story and, as you said, Dondoko Island VS the business mini game.
I'm on like... maybe 80-90 hours and whilst I'm on the Finale Chapter, I've still got more to do. Such as... get the rest of the Sujimon, finish BOTH the Personality AND Unfinished Business along with a handful of Trophies, including some for Dondoko.
Yeah, it takes quite a bit. Thankfully you don't have to get all the Sujimon (unless you just want to, of course). They could have made the trophy list even more grindy than it is, so I kinda respect them for not going too crazy. But it is still time consuming, none the less.

@@BloodyTheSky Honestly, there's no need to rush. If you're 100%ing everything, you're not gonna be perfect from the get go. It took me several attempts to beat the Amon Clan, the Divine Force Michio Rangers, some of the minigames were a bitch and a half (LOOKING AT YOU ARCADE FIGHTERS, ESPECIALLY YOU SPIKEOUT).
I have a question about the resort. For the 100 guests, can I just recycle the guests I've already taken care of? I have about 6 who's requirements are all filled so it is easy to make them happy. Or must I host new guests?
I'm 99% sure you can keep reusing the same guests. I did Dondoko Island in NG+, so I had a lot of guests I could invite, but I didn't get around to inviting quite a few of them. When I finally got that trophy, I'm pretty sure it was with all guests that had already been on the island.

A video that shows that Platinum means shit near 100% completition. You can't say you've completed 100% of a game by just having the platinum of it. In this case, you still light years away from it.
True. But some of the challenges were pretty awful to do in a few of the past games. You could have literally done everything in the game, gameplay wise, but some of the challenges required you to spend a lot of extra time on some of the mini games. But then again, a lot of people think platinum trophies should be hard to obtain anyways.
I kind of fall in the middle. I think they could have made this plat a little harder, but I am thankful for not having to 100% the challenges. I really love the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, so I am just happy to be able to get the platinum for more of them. Ha ha.
