4.2k tps is great on a test-net. Although as we know, SC's take a hell of a toll on capacity. Can they maintain that level while operating a large defi ecosystem? I will believe it when I see it.

Great stuff as always. While comparing performance metrics is necessary, it takes meaningful differentiation to have growth that can disrupt the category leaders. By all comparable performance metrics, ETH looks like a turd, but they're still very much the network leader despite being the most expensive, slowest, etc. Changing user behavior does not come easily, inexpensively, or quickly.

Nice James, these 2 caught my eye about a week ago aswell. Not convinced either its good enough to outright beat sol or eth, but with a new blockchain oriented language to build on I would say the potential is immense. We have to watch this extremely carefully
I think blockchain oriented language is just a set back. There will be no developers with competence to build. Look at QANX. First blockchain that allow to build on there chain with ALL coding language.

Pretty sure icp was wef connected on some level and the Aptos comparison chart featuring icp was telling...I think other layer 1s solving the present remaining issues is more important than building new layer 1s.
@@AbsoluteProbability I say swing trade them for a week or 2, layer out, and if you happen to 20x 10% remaining then you just bought that much more btc.
I'd put $50-100 into these if I can get in under 500 mil market cap and short if it hits 10 bil or passes shib. Small bets. Like 1 btc dca worth for example. Like you do $100 every paycheck put in like $50-100.

My concern with "decentralisation" (Dn) is that with all new projects they won't attract a massive number of believers willing to be part of the independent stake pool, or POW network if that is the protocol, so centralisation is the true underlying protocol that will exist in major VC or institutional backed projects in the future. So what I believe in is already breaking down, except for BTC. It is the only one to maintain the integrity I want and will trust. Yes projects will have use case, but not philosophical purpose, it is enterprise (profit making) purpose, and not what my original spark in crypto came from.

I agree, I have asked numerous times why ZIL is completely ignored in all these 'comparison' charts but get no response. Fully operational established sharded network using Scilla SC ..since 2019 and a thriving ecosystem . It almost seems to be political

@@InvestAnswers You're kidding right? It's one of the best new L1's and it's live already. Most other new/upcoming L1's are still in a testnet phase. Apart from Quant, Azero is one of the most promising projects.
The big market cap chains are somewhat proven, but they're already old. I know that most new projects fail, but there is a reason to mention sui and aptos for example, they are new! If you wait for chains to become known, it will be too late.

Great comparison. 2bn valuations for new chains are far too rich for me, as they have a long way to go. APTO's WEF connection is a BIG no no for me.

@@SquareRootOfMinus1 hi Bobby. I actually did read it back in 2020 when launched by Prince Charles. I think that putting large companies in charge of world wide policy ahead of governments is bad. We are stupid to entrust those responsibilities to non elected corporate bodies that are dedicated to profits and bonuses for executive boards. The governments need to do there job better and technology needs to allow citizens a way of interacting with politicians to have their voices heard on aspects of life at home and abroad.

We still love Solana, but we all already decided to buy a bunch of Sui and Aptos a few months ago 😃 I am sliding my feet across the ground like a bull, waiting for these bad boys to hit the market. I am pretty much an L1 Maxi so I am very very excited and interested in any and all new legitimate L1 projects.

What does proof of stake mean?
There are many " Proof of ", notably Proof of Work used by famous Bitcoin - competing miners to solve math question, the winner get rewards, Proof of Staking, you stake/delegate/assign your tokens/coins to staker that the more it has the bigger is the chance to get reward, that splits with you. There are Proof of History used by Solana, many many, I recommend you look into it, it's a big part of crypto.
If you prefer visual explanations seek for it at finematics
Both are no threat to either ETH or SOL in the short to med term. IMO I would only recheck status if they prove taking market share away from the likes of NEAR protocol (and survive a bear market) until then they are nothing burger.
Further until they prove inflation rate then interest is purely speculative only and not investment based.
Lastly what are they doing that is creating interest! what are they doing that is fundamentally different - answer = nothing of any significance.
I will sit up and take notice when a new chain offers something significantly new and a potential game-changer.
Until then ETH is still the big dog and SOL is the only L1 eco-system that offers any significant point of difference to take them down. Bring on the next bull cycle to see the main event ETH v SOL Round 2 - ding ding!!

I'd personally be worried about BTC and ETH. BTC is, at best, a zero-sum game (the cost of electricity drains BTC out of the system, making it technically a negative sum game) with a matured network effect. BtC's frequently cited 10 year performance is largely due, IMO, factors that were due to novel growth effects that come early in disruption. ETH is losing market share, and when it comes to retirement (depending on your age), there may be technologies that haven't been created yet that will disrupt today's category leaders. I'd be surprised if this weren't the case.

From my research, people are also looking at BRISE token as a potential Solana killer from the tech standpoint but I believe their founders are unknown. So, this sounds like a red flag to me. I may be wrong though. Thanks!
