Yes! I rarely complain on videos but just 15 mins ago I complained in comments to a channel that makes very entertaining videos most of the time, but he has no problems making clickbait videos and that annoys the heck out of me, like his content stands out on its own without having to disrespect viewers and their time with shit like that. Anyways, back to point.. thanks Matt for respecting your viewers. Respect works both directions, and you surely have earned mine by having moral standards. Not running ads on your channel is not something I as a viewer can even expect (creators should earn a living), but you crazy mofo went that far to make the experince that much more enjoyable.. Next level shit, man :)

Your tip about deadlines and perfectionism is exactly what I needed. I happen to be guilty of paying extreme attention to detail in most of the projects I carry out, and to no one's surprise, I achieve perfection in none of them. This often results longer periods of work that are not necessary, and subsequently, I may fail to meet deadlines. I will definitely take this tip and apply it into my life in hopes of improvement! What I thought was great about your answers is that you really are saying to people to do what they want to do. Don't make a title purely for clickbait, don't make a video just to please everyone, don't change your style to suit others. Create things that you would be proud of and you are interested in and the rest will follow. Yes, listen to others but then experiment for yourself. Points that I found important for myself
    1:41
Q1: Have you ever come across a situation where you need to do something but you just don't feel like it? How do you continue to say motivated for the long run?
A lot of time we think that we need and want motivation because we could remember back to a time when we felt so inspired that the work was effortless. But instead of motivation what we really want is to simply get things done and in order to get things done that we really don't want to do right now I found that there are two-three things that really work well for me
    1. Set very clear and specific deadlines.very Firm and set deadlines.
I rarely have an excuse good enough to skip them and for me having this constant process allows me to avoid procrastination, allows to over doubt, and MOST IMPORTANTLY it PREVENTS ME FROM PERFECTIONISM. From making sure that I am not tinkering every single pixel and every single frame to make sure that this video is just right. I get it to be just good enough and then I ship it.
    2. Set a timer
This was really important for me when I was really just starting out. I hadn't yet developed the habit or built up this practice of sitting down and doing the work everyday. So sitting down for even an hour or two was difficult. So basically you set a timer very short period of time
15-30 minutes. You click start and you start working and the only commitment is to work for that 15-30 minutes. you will find that usually you will end up working lot longer. You'll breeze past that 15-30
minutes and you will just keep working because the most difficult part is sitting down to begin with.
    3. I really like what I do. If you like the Idea of being a filmmaker more than you love the actual process of filmmaking then you gonna have a really difficult time so find something that people have to pull you away from. Find something that you love so much that you don't wanna stop and I will say that is the best place to find productivity in any field.
    4:09
Q2. If you could add any courses as an option to take during college that doesn't already exists. What would it be and why?
    1. Personal finance
    2. Behavioural change
These two are really important topics that most people don't spend enough time learning. Both
of them have had a massive change effect on my life and changed the I look at the world and changed the way that I show up everyday. Don't rely on a college syllabus to teach you everything that you need to know in life.If you're just relying on other people to give you the information that you need to live healthy and productive Life, you are not going to get very far. You need to understand that this is your life Stop letting other people control it. Try to figure out what you really want out of it for yourself .

I recently switched to OMAD Keto. I’m an extremely picky eater and the thing I’ve always struggled with the most is breaking my addiction to carbs, because as a picky eater, carbs are generally safe foods. They’re bland and filling. After switching to Keto, I started trying new things out of necessity and have found that, in combination with eating only one meal a day, I’ve finally been able to experience consistent weight loss. Idk what it is about Keto specifically, or more just that there are more Keto foods that I can eat compared to another diet, in any case it has worked for me

I took personal finance in college, but it wasn't what I feel like it should be. The class was basically teaching what personal finance is, but never teaching how to manage your personal finances. I was slightly disappointed, but I needed the credit, so I took it.
Also, cold showers are so good for you! But there are a few ways you can do it wrong. It is better if you start warm so that your pores can open up, that way you can clean the dirt out. Once clean, switch to cold. This switch will then close your pores (keeping anything from getting in), and give you a nice wake up call! If you just use cold water the whole time, your pores don't have a chance to open and get rid of the grime of everyday life. Same applies to your hair. Warm opens the cuticle (outer layer of hair), and cold closes it which, in a way, seals it for a time.

Love the concept of being an experimenter rather than an expert. You're not only encouraging your own personal growth and avoiding stagnation, but also humanizing yourself to your audience. You're so inspirational! I know the definition of inspirational is relative, but you don't have to be a million/billionaire to be successful. In my humble opinion, you're doing what you love, living your ideal life, and helping others do the same through your influential and respectable work! I have been following your channel for a while, and I have never been anything short of inspired to live a productive, healthy, and enjoyable life worth living. Keep doing you, you're doing great!!!

I do pomodoros when writing! So I set my alarm for 25 minutes, break for 5-10, then I work for another 25 minutes. Often times I go over because this is really just to help me get the writing juices flowing. I DO need to implement this in other areas though.

I have to confess your videos have changed my life for the better. I'm always making the bed, tidying up and cleaning my home and my boyfriend is quite the opposite. I used to be mad at him sometimes because of that, but then I started watching your CZcams channel and I heard you talking about you putting Natalie's shoes in the closet and you being ok with her messy toilet cabinet 😂 And now i'm in peace with my "clean-obsessed" part in this couple, hahaha. Thanks, Matt.

I've been on a strategy of personal growth that involves focusing on long-term goals that I care more about that the way I presently feel. It's amazing, and I really recommend setting reachable goals for anyone who feels like they're in a slump. If you have trouble reaching those goals, use this strategy: ask yourself who you want to be. Then put effort in accordance to who you WANT to be. Eventually it'll be second nature and you'll be able to crush your goals as if you're a different person, and by that point you will be. Best thing I've learned is that there are almost equal parts good and bad times, but powering through the bad times makes you a much better person in the long run and gives you the ability to excel in and appreciate the good times.

I just admire the way he can speak to the camera fluently without mistakes, probably it is because of practice, that's why i admire him due to he has been practicing to achieve the that. (I know there are some bloopers maybe however he still being able to speak his mind fluently for most of the parts of the videos without cuts. I just want to be able to create content as he does in the future. Success Matt.

Great video! And I’m finding out the hard way, that it does rain in LA and ppl act like it’s a blizzard 😒. Anyway, the timer idea to work on one task is an excellent idea. One of the additional benefits is that it teaches you to focus on one task for a period of time. Do this enough times and you will find yourself getting things done faster within a time period.
