    I bought the Sweet Leo on a whim and it is now my "always on" pedal with my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III. I did not expect it to last on my pedal board...I was very wrong! Interestingly I find it somewhat similar to the Wampler Euphoria V2 which I own and also have on the board to stack with the Sweet Leo. Both are very dynamic in lower gain mode with Growl / Bass turned down. But I actually like the Sweet Leo better as "always on": because it has a very natural lower mid-range warmth and clarity with the Growl all the way down that you cannot quite get on the Euphoria. Turning up the bass on the Euphoria brings that warmth back but feels slightly more compressed. Sweet Leo with growl and gain nudged up is also excellent, retaining very good cut through clarity for higher distortion needs. Overall, the Sweet Leo is a ridiculously high value pedal that I believe anyone would find inspiring to play through...and I have tried a ton of OD pedals in gig band situations with another guitar player in the mix. I want to try the Golden Brownie next and see how it stacks up to my Xotic SL Drive!

      I´m happy to hear that you found your tone with that pedal! ...and that´s the beauty in pedals: there are so many options to find it! Of corse there are so many other great pedals out there. I just do my contribution delivering my taste and aesthetics. Have fun with testing the Golden Brownie ;-)

    You are definitely have paid my attention especially with the Iridium Edition Amp1. I always was interested in having smaller amp with the sound of a “big” amplifier. Years ago Taurus-amp from Poland had payed my attention to their products and I signed an endorsement deal with them. Now I’m searching for a something different in the terms of sound. Your products sounds in the they way I would like to sound ant the moment! Incredible! I had met your products in the different pedalboards of my friends thru the years, now I know it. Thank you for your hard work in the business!

    I recently bought a Replex based on this video and your glowing endorsement. I really like the sound of it on your various videos. I am still learning its ins and outs and I like it a lot. I basically like the bigness of its sound, but it does change the tone when bypassed. I'd be happy to leave it on all the time, except that in addition to making the bottom end bigger, it dulls the high end, which is not always acceptable. I put in a new tube (don't try this, kids. I'm a tech.), to make sure there were no issues there. I notice there is a trimpot inside and wonder if that might, hope against hope, be a treble adjustment. (I haven't tried to adjust it).
    I wish you would do a video on the Replex. There is just so little information about the pedal out there. I would be interested, for example, to know how you use the tapped delay vs. the regular delay. Also, I have read that the unit is digital, but then you say it's basically an EP-1, which would suggest analog circuitry. I have a very thirsty mind for technical stuff, the more you know the greater your potential for creative use of your equipment, right?
    Thanks for any info you can relate.

    • @BluGuitar
      @BluGuitar  Před 4 lety

      Thanks for you comment! You might have noticed that the Replex is a product of Hughes & Kettner (and Thomas ist not involved there anymore, since he built his own brand BluGuitar), so please understand that cannot provide any technical information on that matter. You could contact our fiends at H&K , though. Thanks :)

    I use the Tubeman Mk 1 as an integral part of my home studio recordings. What amp is the 'blues' channel voiced after, please? - because I love it! And can that same sound / channel be achieved with the AmpOne? Thank you for producing great gear, Thomas!

    • @BluGuitar
      @BluGuitar  Před 3 lety +1

      That channel on the Tubeman was already inspired by my JTM 45. So is the vintage Channel on AMP1…(in lo gain mode it is close, normal gain is more jcm 800)
