With the greatest respect, Patrick Moore appears to this American to be the most comically British man ever. His voice sounds to me like a caricature of the royal accent, spoken very quickly. Maybe you have to be a non-Brit to hear it that way. The effect is somewhat cartoonish. But to be fair, and with equal respect, Carl Sagan also had a very comical aspect to his speaking style. Everyone used to make fun of the way he said "billions", with huge emphasis and his own unique pronunciation. Their eccentricities are part of what makes them effective communicators. Having a laugh is not necessarily a sign of disrespect. Sagan is one of my greatest heroes, but he was funny in how he talked.

Carl was an atheist, whatever came out of his mouth were lies.
Do you know who the father of all lies is and the deceiver of the whole world? Satan and he uses his evil, demon puppets in lost souls to speak lies. Be careful of who you listen and entertain with.
There’s more that meets the eye than just a college education, science, religion, and all that foolishness.
To look up and see a plane (and not see a pilot) and say the plane is pilotless is ridiculous, and it is just as ridiculous to look into the heavens and say there is no God just because we cannot see him.
Salvation is a gift offered to the world by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, yet people complicate it with religion.
Here is a message for lost souls - Jesus Christ is God, manifest in the flesh and He came on earth to die for our sins. He bore our sins on the cross of Calvary. Have you accepted His free gift of Salvation? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? Have you truly BELIEVED from your heart that Jesus Christ is LORD? Have you BELIEVED in the death, burial and resurrection found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KING JAMES Bible? That's how a lost soul can get saved.
Remember that it's NOT what we do that gets us saved, it's what Jesus Christ DID on the cross of Calvary, that's what SAVES a lost soul.
All you have to do to be saved, and on your way to heaven is place your TRUST in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ and nothing else, as sufficient for your salvation, (Romans 3:25 KJB - "Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;")
(Propitiation means the act of appeasing wrath, Jesus took your place on the cross.)
Will you accept Jesus Christ as your saviour by simple faith, simply trusting in his shed Blood which is sufficient to save your soul from hell?
The last sentence is all you must do to be saved, and that is FAITH, not works, TRUSTING in what someone else did for you is the only thing that is not a work.
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB - 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
2 Corinthians 5:7 KJB - (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
Please get saved NOW before it's too late for your soul!! There's 1 Eternity to choose from, Heaven or Hell, choose wisely for your souls!!
Grace and Peace to all in Christ Jesus!!

This is the first time I have actually heard Carl Sagan's voice. It did not exactly match my expectations!
It's nice and deep. Intelligent and unwavering. Someone here said it sounded like he was reading from a paper. He knew exactly what to say, and how to say it. What a man.
It's very true though. These probes are going to outlast us. Emissaries from a small blue dot. It's somewhat amazing and somewhat sad. Something man-made is going to outlast the mountains, but very likely, whatever 's going to pick it up may not find anything when they return it.

Carl was a loser who only acted as if he cared about science.
Carl Sagan "The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be."
Carl Sagan, "I can’t imagine anyone denying the existence of the laws of nature, but I don’t know of any compelling evidence for the old man in the sky."
More from the clueless Carl, --It’s perfectly possible that the universe is infinitely old and therefore uncaused. In fact, there are detailed cosmological models that hold such a view and that are consistent with everything we know. To my mind, it seems not fully satisfactory to say that there was a first cause. That seems to postpone dealing with the problem rather than solving it. If we say “God” made the universe, then surely the next question is, “Who made God?” If we say “God” was always here, why not say the universe was always here? If we say that the question “Where did God come from?” is too tough for us poor mortals to understand, then why not say that the question of, “Where did the universe come from?” is too tough for us mortals? In what way, exactly, does the God hypothesis advance our knowledge of cosmology? What predictions does it make on which the hypothesis will stand or fall?"--
      from: www.uscatholic.org/articles/202001/god-and-carl-sagan-cosmos-big-enough-both-them-31939
Read the article. Have a laugh for what a hypocritical, lying, mocking, disgusting, person he was.
Carl cannot get around these laws and what they lead to...
Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it.
....yet he thinks creation happened naturally, "What predictions does it make on which the hypothesis will stand or fall?"
He ignores the CLEAR science that creation had to happen by God supernaturally! Still, he ignores the laws...
"I don’t know of any compelling evidence for the old man in the sky." Notice his mocking God, "man in the sky" as if that makes him look smart as he completely ignores the evidence.
His question, "Who made God?" is as pathetic as he is.
So in his way of useless thinking, if a supernatural creator created the natural realm, then that supernatural creator who created the natural realm with its natural laws has then become also bound by those natural laws the supernatural creator created. So explain why a supernatural creator is also bound by the laws the supernatural creator created. Or, show how smart you are and just give your science for creation happening naturally, and don't forget to give your science how the natural laws were created, too. If he wanted to act smart, it may be a good idea to actually show you are.
Sagan lived his empty life clueless and has clueless followers.

I generally love the comment sections on science videos, they are much more civil and educated, as opposed to political, social, or religious ones. For many people, the opinions outweigh the facts, maybe a quote from Neil DeGrasse Tyson will convince you otherwise, "The good thing about science is that it is true whether or not you believe it." Another wonderful quotation by the gentleman in the interview, "I don't want to believe, I want to know." And lastly by my favorite science fiction novelist, "Science my lad, is made up of mistakes, which it is useful to make, because they lead little by little to the truth."- Jules Verne. These gentlemen the Big Science Seven (as I call them): Neil deGrasse Tyson, Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman, Jules Verne, Bill Nye, Albert Einstein, and Michio Kaku. Whenever I ponder aliens I'm thankful for HP Lovecraft, not because I think aliens are hostile, but because his visions of alien life challenge the borders of imagination.
Imagine life forms without DNA as we understand it, evolved in a different gravity with different chemistry, perhaps with frequent exposure to (and resistance to, or utilization of) ionizing radiation. It's not animal, it's not plant, it's not fungi, it's something else, and of a shape we can only speculate... perhaps a 12' long, semitransparent, yellow-green centipede thing with vestigial insect wings reused for temperature control, six brains that distribute tasks, a collection of balloon-like bladders and no eyes (as it has light sensitive tissues all over)? What kind of parasites and symbiotic organisms would they host? What would they smell like?
Then suppose they are social, intelligent, and develop technology, what technology would they develop? Their breakthroughs would be different. The resources of their world are different. Their communication and culture would be different, which would restrict or compel certain avenues of innovation.
