At this point I think one of the main charms of Modern SMG4 is how you never know if something's an incoming arc or just a little gag that may or may not return

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. If they replaced Mario, they’d lose the Mario reacts to series and pretty much doom themselves to fail. I just wish Bowser would come back to the main gang at the very least cuz the bros look pretty out of place after all this time…

Adoro como no solo es una traducción, si no que también usan chistes y modismos que solo la comunidad latina entendera, como SMG3 mencionando a DalasReview cancelando a alguien o las frases "levantar la pala" y "chambear"
It was a funny joke in the moment but hearing SMG4 say "Mario's never gonna change" is actually kinda sad both out of and in-universe. Cause on one side it means that the characters will have to put up with Marios antics and shenanigans for the rest of their life unless they leave the "show" and on the other it means that we will probably never see Mario get any real character development that won't be backstepped 3 or 4 episodes down the line. The only way to get believable change in Mario's character would be to make him a *big* arc antagonist or at least that's what I think.

@@soldatgaming6807 No. No it hasn’t. As much as I loved WOTFI 2023 I was incredibly disappointed that Mario was (once again) just a pawn to the actual villain (Marty). So no. I don’t see the „Notebook arc“ as I’ll call it as Mario’s villain arc, but as Marty’s. Since Mario also wasn’t really making decisions for himself he also won’t learn anything from it. So yeah … Mario character development is still just a tiny speck on a massive horizon…

I think Mario always felt the pressure of being the front-face of any business he had, and that's why drawing an OC worked.

@@ZTguyyyy This series only brought us a cheap story of why Meggy was annoying in SMG4 yes and I mean a supposed dark Meggy besides that series all it did was make Meggy become even more obsessive with her goals, alienating her closest friends believing that she can do it alone when in reality it was thanks to her friends that she won the Splatfest plus all her development with an arc, and its spin off series was to no avail.
Mario seems to be more relatable than usual in this episode.

It's really surprising that Mario just wanted his own pizza shop a while ago but just ends up not being able to have anything for himself either and becomes completely worthless in doing his job, he just shows to have unusual mindsets everytime he does anything, I like how he tricks the customers by making Luigi the chef and tortures him, I really like how much his friends have been helping him throughout the day, Meggy being extremely helpful and tries to get Mario motivated, SMG3 giving Mario some therapy and mental care and finally Bob and boopkins giving him some meditation to make him feel better to do his work are all wholesome, great work SMG4! :)

Can we get a video where Meggy, Tari, Melony, and Saiko got themselves trapped in A universe full of Anime Waifus and they need to return to the REAL world?
Her “motivation” didn’t help at all! Meggy needs to learn that not every problem can be solved by diving head first into the issue! Some people need a more gentle approach, she’ll never be a good coach if she’s not willing to open her mind to alternate options!
Meggy is out of line. She had a problem when all of her doubt built up to an extent that it manifested a form for itself, and in order to deal with it SHE WENT ON A VACATION! She came back healthy and ready to take on the challenges that came her way.
Kinda thought the pressure of his friends hate would have just made Mario snap. Not the work of his Pizza place.
