I'm an INFJ and my boyfriend is an ISTP. Seeing this video only makes me more convinced of the typing as the similarities seen in the video are uncanny. The ISTP personality type is really interesting to me because I literally have the same functions, but reversed.

@@eveboyden5881 i agree i think trisha is esfp with strong fi. i think ethan is an entp with developing fe, and the whole frenemies clash and the type of humour seemed very much like ethanâs polr fi and trishaâs polr ti. ethan clowning on trishaâs fi and trisha using fi and thinking itâs ti. i think the âsmarter than an 8th graderâ episode is a good example and the way ethan tries to handle conflict seems fe to me?
@@desotoadventurer6175 yeah I definitely think Ethan is a NTP type:) but Iâm still not sure if heâs an intp or entp. I can see a stronger Ti in him so thatâs the only reason I would say intp but i think youâre probably right because he does have a stronger Fe which would more likely mean ENTP.

This personality analysis fits quite well for me too, and you were spot on with The emotion part. People often missjudge introverts for not caring about anyone.
Interesting to see Se Parent versus Se Hero in action. ISTPs are so interesting to this INFJ because we use the same cognitive functions, just rearranged.

OOO, this is the first time I've truly understood what an ISTP is like, and I think these type of people are awesome, some of my favorite people in life that I have seen/met. Glad I can finally understand it in MBTI terms. ISTP; figured out a new one ;) That detached, yet very connected way of thinking always looks so mature to me. It's something I've always strived for as an INFJ. It's amazing to see it naturally in an ISTP. They always look like nothing can hurt their feelings... this video showed me it's entirely possible. I'm glad to say I've gained a new insight on life, and specifically ISTP's. It was very emotional to see him like that, didn't expect that at all. That is a very, very scary part of the mind of an ISTP I never knew about, and it hurts to know I never understood this on a deeper level.

Its tricky bc Infjâs donât usually broadcast their âINFJâ- ness publicly or as âout loudâ as other types. If I canât find a strong example with time, I may have to go with a movie or TV character INFJ! That seems like a nice practical way to show inside your guyâs Ni minds :)

I'm an INTP and resonate with his feeling of inadequacy to do his job or do activities he had been doing for a long time due to a health issue.
I have a chronical gut inflammatory disease that has forced me to not only stop playing field hockey but also not even being able to do any kind of physical effort except from going for little walks. And not being able to go to sleep late withough having nausea and stomach pain the next day.
At first I had to fight with so much frustration and with guilt. Thinking I had caused that illness to my self by doing risky behaviours like not sleeping enough for long periods or time, exhausting myself too much... And also for not trying to get to a higher hockey league earlier (I postponed it to be able to finish my microbiology degree which took a lot of my time). I also was scared, and to some degree still am, of having very strong vomiting episodes that can last 5 days and make me unable to do a normal life for two months after it happens.
Nowaydas I'm fighting with the thoughts of not being able to play hockey ever again, or even just go for a run every once in a while.
What has taken me out of a terrible place of desperation, frustration and pain was the fact that I love my job as a science teacher and I have also found a great singing teacher (I had been looking for one for 10 years, and I had dealt with vocal problems because of bad teachers). And I'm improving my singing so much lately.
I was so scared that my body wouldn't be able to deal with a full time job. But with a lot of effort, a very strict rutine that includes a lot of rest and going to sleep early (and medication) I have been able to have a full time job for an entire course without having any vomiting episode, and I have also been told that I will continue to work at that highshool next year!
would you ever consider doing an analysis on aubrey plaza? there are tons of compilations of her on here being extroverted and weird but i actually think sheâs a lot more shy. love your videos btw because theyâre so informative.

Awe he reminds me soooo much of my brother just a bit more expressive. This really helps me understand the thought processes as an INFP. I think he took the test like 10 years ago when he was a kid and got ISTP even then.

Iâm ISTP for sure, I didnât even knew I could be classified as such, now I can see why I related so much to Jeff, his way of being around others is the type of approach I would us to be accepted easily by everyone. I donât like to share my emotions unless is to bring a point or give an advice. Iâm 25 years old, heâs older but I think we could be great friends. I donât fuck with social media, or Hollywood but some day maybe. Universe do your thing. đ

I'm INTJ which I heard is one of the most common types of personalities used for villains. Personally, I think we're misunderstood and get demonized for it. It would be cool to see someone with INTJ more fleshed out. Even cooler if you can find a woman.

Spot-on analysis, as always, Eric. I think one of the reasons Jeff has a relatively more developed Fe than other Ti doms apart from maturity is because he is also an enneatype 9? I've been mistyped a lot of times before for a feeler because enneatype 9 amplified my tertiary Fe a lot. ESTP 9w8 here.

I think Jeffâs crazy tumultuous past and life experiences also forced him to use Fe a lot more than the usual istp. His Fe is def unusually developed. To deal with all those different characters and complex social situations being a successful drug dealer, Iâm sure he had to use Fe a lot to have good people skills and intuition.

The MBTI type should be self-explanatory and not depend in a complitelly unrelated typing system with no model behind to explain it. MBTI already has a model, you should be able to explain things through the model.
@@Ignasimp Hmmm that makes sense. But phrasing it that way would make it seem like over time, his enneagram type changed because he started developing his inferior Fe. As far as i know, like mbti types, enneatypes also don't change over time.
Anyway, you're right in saying that mbti typology is a completely independent system that should stand on its own. I guess I was just too excited to see a fellow type 9 having the same functions as I have, and went on to make assumptions about the correlation between two completely different systems because of some behavioral similarities I've observed. đđ Exploring surface-level connections between theoretical frameworks is just a fun thing to ponder on about for me.
@@alyssandracosta5602 well, if there is any truth to the both systems there should be correlation. The thing is cognitive functions are a model, and the enneagram type is just a description. The description should make sense into the model.
What I mean is that what the enneagram says should be explained through cognitive functions not the other way around.
I am explaining it so badly but it's a matter of what is the case and what is the effect. I'll give you an example og the same idea but in a different context so it is clearer.
My hair is black, because I have the genes that make make hair be black. Is not that I have the genes because my hair is black.

Iâm a big fan of MBTI and Jeff. Right off the bat I knew he was an ISTP (INFJ). My guess would be his enneagram is 8w9 or 9w8 of some sort
9w8 makes sense
He is actually an ISFJ. They can really look just like him with the use of their Fe to manage a desirable social image and an aspiring Ne that has a simplistic but reliable formula for making jokes out of their situation. Just look at how stable he is in his experience through having Si first. What makes it tricky for you is seeing how well developed his Ne is so that he is comfortable enough around others to play around with their meanings of the situation. Literally any ISTP would have difficulty managing these social settings when everything they hear is being assessed for accuracy.
Could you do a mbti analysis of the Korean band, BTS? You seem to do a really good job at identifying personalities, and I would love to see your analysis on them.

Hey Eric! It'd be really cool if you make a personality analysis on Rosé from Blackpink. Her first language is English and she has a solo interview with Zach Sang. She also speaks English in the Blackpink's Netflix Documentary "Light Up The Sky" and she's the one who usually speaks in western interviews. You can use those videos for your analysis if you ever decide to make one. I actually would like to know your opinions in all of the members but two of the members are not fluent in English as much as Rosé and Jennie, and I'm pretty sure Jennie is an ISFP but I get a little confused when it comes to Rosé. I hope you'll consider making a video about her! :)

It doesnât matter, you donât have to classify yourself all the time lol. Yes the CZcamsr has studied this stuff but you canât self diagnose yourself. People gotta stop classifying themselves into ways of thinking
Just because you classify yourself as one way doesnât mean you canât do anything else
For some, the personal sorting is very freeing and fun, for others itâs not that helpful or interesting- no need to belittle what someone else is sharing or sorting through Matthew.
I agree, putting ourselves into a box in a limiting way is not good. We all have an introverted side and an extroverted side that pop out in different contexts. We all can make decisions emotionally and logically.
Self examination is very valuable and powerful though. These frameworks are tools to help us empathize with ourselves and other people better.
