- Pratah Smarana Stotram is a prayer said at dawn, composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. It consists of 3 verses in which the mind, speech and body are dedicated to the Supreme Spirit. In these verses, Sri Adi Shankaracharya captures the quintessence of Advaita Vedanta.
The first thoughts, words and actions of the day exert a great influence on our lives. Chant or listen to this every day when you wake, so you may awaken your higher consciousness before you set out into the world.

Vedanta is one of the oldest philosophies in the world. It is not a mere academic exposition on the nature of Reality. It is a way of life, whose context is examined in the light of the relationship of the Self (Atman) to Everything (Brahman). Its aim is no less than to solve the existential problems of life by transcending human limitations, and to look beyond suffering towards fulfilment and deliverance.
