There hasn't been a fair election in Bangladesh in the past 15 years. People were fed up with Sheikh Hasina's dictatorship. Hasina's government often used to say in the media, 'Modi will remember for life what I have done for India.
The Indian government was well aware that the Hasina government had seized power by force, yet all of Hasina's misdeeds were supported by the Modi government. That's why the young generation harbors anti-India sentiment.
Even in the past 15 years, thousands of Bangladeshis have been killed at the border. One notable case was a girl named Felani, who was killed and left hanging on the border fence, which sparked a lot of criticism. A BUET student criticized India's Teesta agreement on Facebook, and Hasina's thugs beat him to death. All these incidents have fostered anti-India sentiments among the people.
Right now, police in Bangladesh are on strike. Taking advantage of this, in some places, attacks have been made on Hindus due to personal grudges. Many things have happened that shouldn't have, and people across the country have criticized them. But it's also true that, most of the attacks have happened on Sanatani homes because they were supporters of Sheikh Hasina's party, not because they were Hindu.
However, the Indian media has reported it incorrectly. For example, the house of cricketer Mashrafe has been burned because he supports Hasina's party. But in the Indian media, they are showing that it was cricketer Liton Das's house that was burned.
