Man, These guys were great. And Canal Street was my favorite place to play. Mick was great (RIP) but the bartender hated us because we were too loud. He must have had the night off for The Bears.
I've been watching this clip for about 10 years, and wishing there was a clip from the '87 tour, when I saw The Bears the first time. What a great show.
I do t think anyone realizes how good Rob is, I have seen them live several times he always amazed me so good l really love this group, as a live unit they were so funny and untouchable.
loved this band in the 80's; couldn't remember their name for so long. finally found them with "man behind the curtain" lyric, and so happy to hear favorites like this one, Complicated Potatoes, Old Fat Cadillac, Robobo's Beef... 👍👍👍
The moment at 2:40 when Nyswonger is alone on bass -- I saw them live in the '80s, when he was still playing the upright, and that was an absolute jaw-dropper to witness.
One of the best rock songs Cincinnati ever produced.
Rob's climbing guitar solo is one of the best to ever reach my ears.
