The 951 with some tweaks is still competitive to this day! Says something about the platform.
Been 30 years since I had my 951... I wouldn't mind finding my old Guard Red over Tan with Fuchs wheels.
the 951 engine allows power up to 400HP and more, so being so well balanced and with this power it is able to beat much newer sports cars nowadays....
The car looks surprisingly well balanced and sufficiently quick! Didnt expect that from a old 944 :)
That was exactly the 944's thing, being transaxle allowed it to achieved a balanced weight distribution.
When they had the track day I got a ride in it🥵 amazing! Fast really fast 🥵
They are all well balanced, the turbos are fast and with modification like any turbo car, very fast
Why "surprisingly" well balanced? 944s have 50/50 weight distribution

90年式の実際オーナーだった私の感想としては、重量配分は静止バランスでは良い。しかし、ドライビングでは路面によりアンダー、オーバーが激しかった。リアの、セミトレ&トーションバーの挙動は唐突で、高速コーナーでは930ほどではないが、難しかった。しかしながらコントロールは比較的に楽でした。とにかく、アクセルを踏んで挙動を安定させる事に努力した。慣れると当時としてはコーナーが楽しい車でした😊

Lindseyracing.com sells two great BOV. I currently run their billet aluminum one and it sounds just like the one in the video.

Beautiful driving but I just can’t stand that ugly number plastered everywhere
that wastegate flutter sounds so bad
Not bad for a van engine but I think it was smoking well before the oil cap came off 🧐
Van engine? This thing is fast 💨
@@snmclarence8459 The 944 engine just is a Weissach developed Porsche engine, the 924 had the van engine
