You are absolutely right, the MAXX is underrated. As you might know I am very in the Arrma 6S rigs and I have near to 10k in cars and parts invested in that line. BUT, to be honest, most of the every day bashing fun I get out of the MAXX. For me the most durable rig out of the box ever. Ok, it is pricey, but if affordable for someone you really don't want to step back to the Redcat. The tires lock good on the Maxx, I think I get my hands on a set of those too. Bash on and thanks for the awesome content like always 👍
The Maxx is a beast , I got a great deal from another Rc guy for only 340 with wide maxx kit. Added battery and charger , 17mm conversion, wide maxx steel drive shaft, new heavy duty body and light kit. Now this Maxx is so fun doing back flips off the gate!
I have the wide arms and upgraded axles but I haven’t broken anything 🤞🏾but popped the stock tires and got badlands which I’m loving this lil truck makes me want to get a xmaxx
If you're thinking of upgrading to wide maxx and metal driveshafts, you should consider upgrading the plastic c hub to metal too, caz on higher jump the steering hub will pop out caz of the flex of the c hub.
And that 's the issue, The Maxx is a $800 truck here in Canada and the idea of spending another $300 to do the Widemaxx kit is hard to do. That makes for a really expensive 1/10. :/
Hi, I have got the 17mm splined hub conversion - but I’ve not had any issues with the lack of splined wheels - I’ve got SRC belted road tires which fit perfectly 👍
Anyone else ever feel like a mechanic when your working on your rc cars or is it just me? Great video man! I just found your channel while looking for tires myself for my maxx and I love the content.
My only problem with the Maxx is the front bulkhead skid keeps breaking. The bulkhead & chassis tie in is solid but I've replaced that skid 3 times. I know the front has to be flexing in order for it to break like that so I thought about getting the HR brace but it would probably do more harm than good. I made my own AL skid to fit over the front skid in the meantime. The Redcat skids definitely have more meat on them so I never had that problem. But the Maxx is a more durable rig overall. The upper arms on the Kaiju are under a ton of stress, so I had to design my own as well.
Those tires look good. I’ll have to keep that in mind. I got the same truck a month ago and just dropped in the same motor and esc. Haven’t got to test it yet, still have to solder a connector on.
Would you tell me where to find the dremel drill you are using? Other than that, awesome video. I love these tires and also your attention to details 😉
(springs recommendation) Hi. Man, I'm sad. I can't find stiffer springs for Maxx. I just want to do big jumps without hitting the chassis. I live in Brazil and I can't take the risk of buying expensive springs that don't work the way I want. Can you recommend me any? You have many RC car models, is there any other models that the springs are compatible with Traxxas Maxx 4S? It helps me to look it up on the internet.
Update on these wheels and tires? I have a maxx with widemaxx kit and widemaxx steel cvds and am trying to figure out what tire and wheel setup to go to from stock. I keep killing these stock tires. Foams die quick and tearing the tires.
That sensored does it do good for it because I’m running proline trenchers 3.8 hp and with a gear ratio of 18/54 and still have a little cogging so I was thinking of getting a sensored system with a mamba monster x and 1515-2200 kv motor does that system seem powerful enough because my maxx is 13 pounds

I've been really enjoying my 1/6 this summer. But I am going to pick up one more truck in the next week. Possibly another Stunt truck.
What about the corally skeeter it very tough

Dang!!! That was a nice perfect backflip at the beginning 👍

Great tire option! I'm glad your tried this out 😃 Your right this truck is the ultimate 1/10 scale so though. It's expensive but actually worth it

Got the wide kit on my Maxx and I’ve done the driveshafts - but I still recommend it 👍👍
What about splined hubs? I did the widemaxx and the driveshafts too.. seems hard to find tires with the splined hubs.

Nice trick for the stick and that tyres is 🤪😍
Nice one Jason.👍👍💯💯

Very nice. I love those tires

I keep thinking I would like to pick up a brace but I've been having such good luck with stock everything that I don't want to mess it up.

Get widemaxx kit really think you will love it. Didn't change my durability at all .👍👍
I've got it for my new Maxx. Just need to get around to installing it.
What song is this? You should have done a size comparison from stock tires. Looks great 👍
Nice run!! 👍
Would you tell me where to find the dremel drill you are using?
Other than that, awesome video.
I love these tires and also your attention to details 😉
Stickers on tires look great 👍
This deserves a big like and a sub!!
As often as you change tires I can't belief you don't just throw some proper 17mm hubs on. LOL Like the tires though.
Do the red cat rims have the same hex style as Traxxas I keep getting told the hex will strip out because Traxxas is a weird hex
Nice mod the tires are tough for any bash🔥👊🏾✌🏽
Are these belted tires? I couldn't see them ballooning

Did the Redcat Racing Kaiji tires balloon up? MIght get a set for mine!
Wow good good😀
It's best video!!!!😀😀😀
Jason, did you need to notch the plastic motor mount to run the zip ties for the castle fan?
What other tire options are there for the maxx ? I bought a set of duratrax that say they are made for the maxx and they rub..

Do you reckon they corner better than stock? Seemed the cornering in the video was a bit cautious so hard to tell?
Jason how are those beautiful kratons holding up? I've been looking at a maxx for a while how would you compare this the the kraton 6s?
How bad do they balloon?
Wonder how they would work on a v1 e revo🤔
Are these tyres much bigger that the stock ones?
Where can I get that battery and motor at
where did u get those tires
do you have part numbers for those tires?
Where u get that stand
Looks like I need a stronger strap now lol. Another upgrade 🙄
I was surprised it broke. Not sure how.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs Yeah, not something that usually happens. Although it doesn't look like a very thin strap, hard to tell without holding it.
Where can I get that RC stand? I wish you had links.
It’s an old rdlogics stand made for a lst 2.
I like the video but the obnoxious music I had to click off sorry man otherwise cool video
I enjoyed a great video let's be friends😊😊😊
우리 친구 해요!
About the only good thing redcat is good for. Tires.
Have you had any problems with those stock driveshafts?
Nothing yet. But I am still running the stock arms.
With those bigger tires on the maxx, the plastic driveshafts will not last long, yet upgrade to metal driveshafts.
I claim these tires in the name of the USA 🇺🇸 now they should be able to handle some heat
Tires look to big
No way you can compare the Kaiju with the Maxx one is a 6S truck one is a 4S truck
JASON TAKE LONG HIKE OFF A SHORT PIER AND DO NOT COME BACK
