- Here's a drum tutorial for Banquet by Bloc Party. Some of the fills in this one really stand out and become hooks for the song, so it's definitely worth learning those licks as accurately as possible! The hi hat part in the chorus is a bit tricky if it's a new beat for you but practice it slow and get jamming!

Doesn't talk about heads and stuff though. Usually I use coated Evans G2 on the toms and an Evans Power Center Reverse Dot on the snare with a couple of bits of Moon Gel or tape to dampen some overtones. I hope that helps you out!

What’s the advantage of using two hands on the hi-hat (I notice Matt does it too)? I figured that part out on my own and was just playing the whole thing with my right hand (playing doubles).
But as always I don’t know if I should be doing things differently.
On those two 16th notes at the end of the bar? The main advantage for using two hands on those is a smoother sound. Have a muck around with both ways and see what you prefer!
In the chorus you can play the sixth notes with only one hand, in my chase is easier than alternate blth hands. I recommend it ...
when youre playing at full tempo it sounds much more fluid using both hands, at least in my experience
I know it's an unknown song, but could you please teach us how to play 'I forget where we were' by Ben Howard? I think the last third of the song has a really interesting drum part going on, but i can't figure out how to play it :/
