  • Avish’s interactive programs are based on two simple premises: 1) the ability to improvise is a critical, but often lacking, skill for business and personal success. 2) Anyone - yes, anyone - can improvise! The world is changing faster than ever, and no matter how well you plan, things will go wrong, surprises will arise, and the Universe will throw you a curveball. Your success and sanity are directly related to how you respond these challenges. By the end of one of Avish's presentations you will have key tools to flow with all that life throws at you.
Avish Parashar is an energetic and humorous speaker who uses his 20+ years of experience performing, teaching and studying improv comedy to show organizations and individuals how to improvise, adapt, and innovate in an ever changing world.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

I'm in agreement with the premise that the world needs improv. What bothers me, and it's a common misconception, is that the word COMEDY follows improv. Sure some improv results in a funny sketch, but it can also result in a delicious dinner, a thoughtful testimonial at a funeral, and a hand made greeting card. We are all improvising our lives, but it's not always a comedy. Detach those two words and there is much wisdom.
