19 custom fleets for Eclipse Dawn for the galaxy boardgame

- When I started playing one of my favorite board games: Eclipse - New dawn of the galaxy over 5 years ago, I loved the game but wasn't satisfied with the ship models. So I started to look for different models to collect and paint to replace them. In total I collected more than 300 models and painted them to create 19 different fleets to choose from.
Now I finally found time to shoot them in a nice setting and added a little bit of sounddesign & names to give them more character. Let me know what your favorite fleets are - and if you like Eclipse (first or second edition) what race would you pick to match with that fleet. (all races allowed, including 1st edition addons)
I used models from Firestorm Armada, Halo, Fullthrust miniature, Silent Death, Eclipse ships addon & more. If you want to know a specific ship model let me know the timestamp and type (Dreadnaught 2x / Cruiser 4x, Fighter 8x and Starbase 4x) I might be able to research it. Although it was a long time ago. 😉

I’ve been researching alternate ships for a few weeks and this is going to be a huge timesaver for me. I love Eclipse, but I’m not a fan of a lot of the ship sculps that came with the game. Thank you!

Wolf Pack but Zanadu was cool!!! Lots of good ones though much better than the original ships!
the skylancer's interceptors are just the standard 1st ed interceptors with a new lick of paint...
Have you considered packaging sets together and listing them for resale?

Can you describe a bit your workflow - painting first, then wash and finally dry brush? It looks amazing.

They are just for different ships on the table. I have been playing around with ideas to develop my own races, but I often find myself realizing my ideas are better off in entirely new games. I currently work on about 7 different games, whenever I get the time and the creativity starts flowing ;) Will upload previews on this channel when I am satisfied!
Excellent! I'm currently painting my original miniatures from the board game and they tend to get sticky when I paint them with acrylic colors. Did you experience something similar? How did you deal with it? Varnish coats (gloss/matt) didn't solve the issue.

Great work, keep it up! Would really like to know where you got the Avalon and Zenyatta models. You can also add to me to the buyers list if you ever 3d print and sell them.
I get my ship minis from Brigade models UK, I live in spain and the deliver literally everywhere.
The models are really good quality and good value, I've bought 3 sets for eclipse and plan on more, I do print our my own eclipse races via the templets on gameboard geek.
@nicola johnson I've been looking into getting new ships for my Eclipse, but don't know anything about minis, are they all roughly the same size? I don't even know where to start looking
