This was my second zelda game. Phantom Hourglass was my first, but it was a little creepy when I had to go back to the temple with the Phantoms. I prefer this over Phantom Hourglass because I never beat that. This was the first one I ever beat.
Ditto on the first part, but that was the first game I beat. It still took a couple years because the phantoms TERRIFIED me. Both games. At least the first playthroughs had a crap ton of treasure for rupees/train parts by the time I could trade them.
+Blabatron I got stuck trying to find the third metal to make the Phantom Sword.
+mega aggron I just got stuck after the fire temple, took a couple years to get past that lol
+Blabatron I got stuck in the Water Temple. The one where you fight the two-headed dragon for about a week or two.

This game share a lot of similarities with Skyward Sword when it come to story. Both have a legend about an ancient King of demons that was sealed underground by deities. Both have you collecting stone tablets to give you access to parts of the world. And both antagonists need the power of Zelda to come back to life

Maybe that's why they're my 2 favozrites zelda games ever-
Both games had by far the best item collection mechanics in the series which I loved
Love ST and SS both they are both underrated Zelda games and they both have phenomenal soundtracks
This is one of the best arguments for Malladus being an incarnation of Demise, imo.

I just noticed how both of them have a lore tapestry with an elderly friend scene. In fact. I'm starting to be surprised at how much Spirit Tracks I'm seeing in BOTW.

The controls were just fine given the DS limitations.Never had a problem with it
Controls were great, you really had the impression of swinging that sword for a change instead of very disconnected button-smashing. Now, the mic...yeah, that kinda did suck.
