@Nicholas Johnson It's really simple, just start bleeding speed sooner. Larger helos pick up loads of momentum and even a ghosthawk will not be close to as nimble as a littlebird. Start your approach at 2km out if you are traveling near 300kph, just let the helo balance out a bit then start gently pulling back down to 150-200kph. This is fast enough to avoid some incoming fire if your LZ is unsafe and you need to wave off but slow enough that when you do start your landing sequence you shouldn't launch up into the sky.
@Nicholas Johnson Yeah, the J-turn is a great way to drop speed but because of the large helos slower roll speed, it isn't an effective technique in them.

Zac VanVeen While it is astoundingly beautiful, ArmA 3 Is also very fun in singleplayer, but yeah Multiplayer is more fun than singleplayer. Just remember that this game has UNLIMITED replayability with the edition of the ingame editor...

The 77th JSOC have some very good Invade+annex servers as well, both of them are very tactical as they won't let you leave the base without being put in a proper squad. Definitely worth a try if you can get in as they're usually full

Yea I'm still a rookie to the game the the best server I've joined so far is 77th JSOC, the people play cool and smart and admins always care about the ungrouped making sure everyone got a squad,the server is still alive and good thankfully.

How is it when played Offline
and when played Multiplayer ?
Is multiplayer like Battlefield ? like two opposite teams ?
Arma is much more of a simulation game. So depending on what you play there could be one team vs Ai, all the way up to 20 different 'clans' all fighting for control. It is what you make it, but there is nearly always more strategy involved compared to battlefield. Start watching Luetin's vids that will give you a great overview.
Thank you for putting your tutorials together. I was so excited when I saw a game this detailed was out there, but completely overwhelmed when looking at some of the other videos. No one wants to look like an idiot when jumping into a game like this. Keep at it!

You should do more "how to" and guides for arma. There few you have done have been very helpful when I started to play. No arma youtuber really has a guide series. Maybe do some loadout videos or learning how to use a vehicle.
There are in-game tutorials and scenarios to help you if you have not done them already I would recommend them, i saw them after I learned from trial and error and it would have helped loads if i saw it earlier (I saw them when my game time was already at 550-600 hours I don't remember fully but by then I had learned the hard way)

I highly recommend the 44th Delta I&A, it’s really chill, the arsenals allow everything and usually it’s not full.

Real nice overview of the nit and grit of I&A. It ain´t always sunshine and roses and more often than not some prick is going to get on your nerves, but that feeling of cooperation and squadplay is just a worthy reward for all the hassle.

Gods M3dic ik this is a year old but I agree with you. Because if you watch any arms vid they don't show you this. They just make cinematic videos making you go crazy and really want to play that then you get into arms and your like. Wtf. This is nothing like the videos. But this guy shows you what he's playing and how to play it.

I know there are some great mods in Arma that enhance the experience but I am extremely unfamiliar with modding in this game. Invade & Annex 3 is released a few days ago. New base, new options like calling in airstrikes/artillery, FOB's spawning once finished AO, underwatermissions and lots, lots more, but still with TheScar killing around, just start playing!

Nanne118 thats the background sound on the arma loading screen. Its people shooting at long range, its just gun sounds etc

You should think about running your servers like the 77Th jsoc does. They all form units at base for particular tasks, then head out. Its very organized and pretty much insures you will be put with a somewhat reliable squad. Just a thought, you might wanna check there servers out, particularly the EU#1. Its the best public server ive found in over a year
Is it possible to play invade and annex with blasticore and jsrs??, if so can you maybe make a tutorial about it because i cant really get it to work.

Im kind of confused about this game and how it works. Can someone explain to me the game modes and the mods everyone talks about. Like the game mode he's playing here, is it a mod or just regular multiplayer? What exactly is Invade & Annex? Ive also herd of tactical battlefield, what exactly is that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm kind of a noob lol.

Guys check out Zeus community severs, basically it's just like invade and annex but a lot more strict and tactical, they also help you if your new and can show you the basics of the server. Not to mention that over the past 8 months I have played on the server I have made many friends and lots of people to look up to. It mainly runs on a slightly modded version of patrol ops and sometimes in the week we have a game night where every one can join in a fun custom map (PVP & COOP). If u guys do check it out I really do wish u guys fun :)

If you honestly want the definitive ArmA experience, don't waste your time with public servers. You're bound to have a far more enjoyable experience if you join a group. You can easily do this via r/FindAUnit. You can find a group to your liking Hardcore MILSIM or casual and you will meet cool people (and some dickheads obviously) but you will make some good friends.these groups can teach you a fair bit on how to play if your a beginner. For example I am in a group that does PvP events against other groups and it's great, structured, no bullshit and great people. So honestly public servers are a waste of time when you have so much more that is possible minus all the bullshit you get from push and go public servers.
illuminati not true at all. Hardcore Milsims require a lot of time and discipline, something that many people will not find enjoyable or have the time for. Which is why I am not part of one. Saying 'wasting' your time with public servers do them a huge disservice, I have had a huge amount of great experiences on public servers without the hassle and time involved in a milsim faction. So sorry but I couldnt disagree more, and if you are new to the game I wouldnt take this as gospel by quite a wide margin.
You are right to a certain extent. With a milsim unit you will never run into trolls because everyone who joins the milsim is there because they want to play a certain way. Where as on pub servers you can get a lot of trolls or people who just dont care about playing seriously. Now, Im not saying pub servers are a horrible place to get a good strategic and realistic session going on (tbh I met almost all my friends that play this way in pub servers) but its easier with a milsim unit.
Also you get to have a choice in which way you want to play when looking for a milsim. Some are super serious and realistic, others are more laid back.
Even if it does take time to get settled in and it does call for some obligations to be met there just so many more pros than cons when playing with a milsim unit compared to playing on pub servers.
***** For me, the problem with harcore milsims is the personal and individual experience is kind of hampered. You can barely log in before you're summond for training or drills, with tales of obligation and duty. which are fun to extent, but some are extremely tedious and take on the appearence of getting things done,when in actuality it can become more of a job than military simulation. Not to mention younger players who have no patience and rather mess about during training, making it less productive and more drawn out. That's Arma, something for everyone!

I said that Milsim is an available choice (I aint to fond of milsim myself) I much prefer more casual groups of people that just get together and play some co-op/pvp

If you love spending 99% of your time getting "into the shi*t" to be killed quickly, then Arma 3 is for you!
No other running simulator can compete.
Question.. at 28 minutes you were killed by teammate but medic picked you up right away. Can medics always pick you up if your downed or is it only a certain number of times before you have to respawn at base? Yes im a newb
Excuse my ignorance, but what does the [AT] stand for after the position? Are there any other abbreviations that I should know before playing?
I think it stands for Anti-Tank, at least that is the military designation for qnti-tank weapons
I really need to get better at this game, like sniping, I'm fine at. I think I mainly need to improve on close quarter combat and in some cases, just firefights in general
