Hi guys, here I showed up how to increase RAM on Windows 10. This ram is actually called virtual memory and this virtual memory is a memory management capability of an operating system that uses hardware and software to allow a computer to compensate for physical memory shortages by temporarily transferring data from ram to disk storage. If Windows virtual memory is too low, you can increase it manually. Definitely, this video will very convenient for you.

Your video helps me so much, yesterday i can normally play some steam games, and this morning when i booted my PC some of the games has been crashing. Hours of finding the error I checked my RAM installed and it came down to 4G RAM where initially it is 8 which causes the crashing, Applying your video help me set it to 8. Thanks it helps me a lot of time to fix my issue. June 18 2020. I dont know why it became 4G in the first place. Maybe windows 10 adjust it automatically without me knowing.

He's doing little wrong while calculating the MB he needs
Windows doesn't use that much virtual memory
And virtual memory isn't actually ram and it's *ALOT* slower than actual physical ram
What you actually need to do is you need to multiply your total physical ram by 1024
Like I have 4GB Ram and I need to multiply it like 1024×4
And then you have to multiply the amount you previously got by 1.5
IN SHORT: Total available ram×1024×1.5
And after the number you got by this,
Enter the same value in the MB Section like he's doing
To make it easier, I've shown what should your final value be according to your Physical RAM
1 GB - 1536
2 GB - 3072
3 GB - 4608
4 GB - 6144
5 GB - 7680
6 GB - 9216
7 GB - 10752
8 GB - 12288

worked great for me. virtual memory increased from 32% of total to 60%. but you have to use min and max RAM numbers that apply to your machine's specs. I used 6GB min and have a max of 16GB. I had to refer to the maintenance manual to find the max. If you don't get the autorestart box, the numbers you are using probably wont improve anything (at one point I used a min and max higher than 6 and 16, manually restarted then used 6 and 16 again to get autorestart box.

*Important tip:* If you've only *_SSD_* in your PC, then don't try to increase the Virtual Memory, better to disable it.
Since the size you've set for Virtual memory, it every times create that size of Virtual memory file and will decrease the life of your SSD.
SSD has limited number of writes and this will write a lot and decrease it's performance and it will fail soon.
What is SSD and if it's a hardware where is it?

let me tell you my "story" why I clicked this video..
today I bought 1 ps4 controller for my laptop..
Before using my controller I had on FIFA19 60fps all day long but when I plugged in I had like 5-10fps...
After I did all he said in this video my game was working more faster than ever...

you guys have to know that once ram exceeds a certain amount it slows your pc more than make it faster so you really shudnt add more than 4 gb than your original ram because virtual ram is less effective since it doesnt have the same speed as the physical ram

For those who don't know, VRAM can be increased up to double of Original RAM, no more than that, otherwise It won't work.
(2 x RAM) x 1024 = VRAM
Make sure you put that value on both Initial and Maximum Size (MB).
in that case mine is 4gb so shud i do like

I have a 12 year old laptop which has only had the hard drive replaced in all that time. Well, given time and technology advancement it's been running slowly for some while. I tried a number of options to boost the speed as the RAM is only 3GB, but nothing really worked. Until I came across this video. Wow! My laptop is on steroids. It's really flying.
If I'd only found this before I bought a replacement I could have saved me some bucks. Still, experience is a good thing.
RAM does not make your computer run faster, it just assures u have a space of immediate access so the system doesnt have to search in HDD for apps that are currently running. It only allows you to run at the same time different apps without experiencing any kind of slowness. With 3 GB RAM i think u have enough if you are a casual computer user.

This uses your storage for RAM, but it is much slower. Whenever you're out of ram, your pc starts using storage space for it. If you're looking for a solution to a "Hardware Reserved RAM" problem, this is not it.

thanks to you..i have 4gb ram intalled memory din 3.45 usable.......and my virtual memory is 1.3gb......i follow your video i put initial size 12288 and 16384 for maximum size..it work super duper thanks...and now my virtual memory is 12gb ..and run dxdiag my available pagefile is 13655
this works for me and now had 24GB of Virtual Memory.

Thanks now i got really good performance in gaming i have 4gb ram and 12GB virtual memory and before i had like 30-35 fps in games now i get constant 60 in most games in high end games i get around 50-55 fps thanks alot.

It will stop it from crashing if you run out of physiacl RAM, but no, it absolutely WILL NOT speed games up any. Virtual memory is on your HDD which is MUCH slower than physical RAM. If it has to use Virtual memory, it would actually slow the game down.
A much better approach is to be awre of running apps, and have a minimalist background running apps,Or just simply buy a better RAM
