21:00 I've always had a problem with this!!! In many post-apocalyptic stories, (but particularly in fallout) people live in places for really long times, and never clean up or even just repair basic shit about their living space. The amount of settlements in Fallout 4 with no windows, completely fucked roofs, and floors that were assembled by a carpenter on horse tranquilizers is way too fucking high!
The worst of it was the supposedly safe places like Diamond city, where people live in shanty huts and don't even bother setting the floorboards straight, as if they moved in a day ago. After living there for one week, you'd trip on that like 6 times and start thinking about making the floor flush, just to save your sanity.
And the roofs, man! The setting has Radioactive acid rain, and people don't IMMEDIATELY fix their roofs and windows to keep that shit out of where they sleep. I get that glass is hard to come by, but at least board that shit up. Plywood seems like the most plentiful resource in the commonwealth, considering the amount seen everywhere.
It's not serious, but it's been a longstanding pet peeve of mine in games.
Sidenote, slightly related: I play the Division 2, in that there's an event that leaves your base of operations in a state of disrepair, due to an attack. Now, because of live service stuff, I understand that the game can't necessarily go on at the pace of the player, so I get why this thing happened.
There's a person, whose clearly injured, laying down next to the entrance, possibly bleeding. It was supremely funny for me to walk past this person dozens of times, but not being able to help them at all. I just kind of have to accept that they're set-dressing and not people. Sort of reminds me of wounded characters in skyrim, where if they're scripted to lie down injured somewhere, it doesn't matter that you can heal them with magic, they will not respond to treatment.

I agree. This already bothered me in Metro to a slight degree, but it's way worse in other games.
@@Ink_25 the Metro universe from the books is very different to in the games, some stations take pride in the condition of their home and actively keep the mosaics, floors etc clean and shiny. Whereas other stations are utterly filthy and the people are like rats living in their own mess.
Still mad they never included the Church of the Giant Worm from the first book... A cult that believed the Metro tunnels were created by a benificent worm god, really drove home the regression into the old ways of thinking that human beings had despite the war only having happened 1 generation ago.

It's cockney rhyming slang - you obscure what you mean by replacing words with the beginning of another phrase that ends with a word that rhymes. Butchers = butcher's hook = have a look. Bees = bees and honey = money.
It's deliberately confusing and intended to make it harder for people who don't know slang to understand.
However, this is less confusing than Dimwell arrthymic rhyming slang from Discworld. Prunes = syrup of prunes = wig
