The fact that they added the starters makes me so happy, all I wanted as a kid, but I hated trading starters through pal park
@Grind with da Winning team hoe You dont understand how things work. Just Breed them with a perfect ditto and you have the perfect pokemon with right EVs.

@@parkey8936 At least it’s easier to find if you’re in a group since the tiles sync, meaning you won’t have to spend as long looking with a bit of cooperation.

Austin, hope you read this. Fairy type statue thing is broken, it actually boosts Psychic type. It is weird.

@@MisterX867 Ralts is psychic, so no problem for that one.
I discovered because togepi. I had no fairy statues, so I spend an afternoon collecting. I used 3, and a ton of mr mimes apeared, and that made sense (psy/fairy), but togepi diminished a lot. When I reached max boost, togepi went missing completely, tons of non fairy psychics started to appear, like chinglings showed up a lot.
After I tested filling the room with Psychic statues and the effect was exactly the same. Then I removed everything and I started to get togepi again.
All of that was done on the crystal caves using the celestic entrance

First, a thing to clear up: you actually don't have to wait until the post game to do this. If you clear the Sinnoh dex prior to beating the Champion, you gain access to the expanded Pokemon availability, including starters. (Source: I did this; I caught every 'mon except the Piplup line before the E4, and caught Piplup in the Underground prior to taking it on.)

Yes Austin John, I would have been PISSED if you got a shiny Chimchar first try post game and I have reset 685 times for a shiny one to start the game.

If you use more than 1 of the same berry it will be foul regardless
Don't use two or more of the same berry. If you're doing everything right it's probably because you're using multiple, which will always result in a foul poffin.

Nice, I got something to look forward too. I panicked a little when I heard you could only get one starter, considering I chose chimchar on both versions... Nice to know that's not the case.
Keep in mind also if you are doing online version, if you manage to find another players' hideout with the effect you need, you can activate from their hideout too.

As awesome as the gen 1 starters are i was missing gen 2 since they are not in Sword and Shield. I can't wait to use Typhlosion and Feraligatr again.
Just learned that starter pokemons in the grand underground have 1 egg moves and I tested on other pokemons. I caught a dratini with extreme speed.
I've also gotten grass type starters in the swamp cave as well

Planning on a "Dragon" team with Charmander, Totodile, Trapinch, Swablu, Dratini, and probably Bagon to round out the roster, so I'm stoked about it and being able to find the starters

Dragon dance on a feralogator would be incredible, such a good move.
It's a beast! I have an adamant one full ev trained with max ivs in attack, defense, and speed in sun and moon.

Also has aqua jet, great priority move with stab
For me it seems like the Jhoto starters were the most commonly found ones

i know this might be a stupid question but what level do they evolve because if they are level 60 does that mean i need to level them up until level 80 or 100 or something? please someone help.
@@topazsz so normally they evolve at level 14 or 16 but since they are over that level you just have to level them up twice to get the final evolution

So I’m guessing whatever level you are in right now you’ll battle with a Pokémon close to your level which is awesome ! Now I don’t have to keep training it on grass or leaving it to the daycare

@@lukebutkus3 yes they can , by leveling up the next time it will go to the 2nd stage , once it evolves, then it will evolve again to the 3rd

Just picked them all up charizard my favorite and dragonite.
I do really hope they add dlc to add the rest of the Pokémon in. I just want one legit game that has all the Pokémon in it.
I believe once Pokemon Arceus is launched, they'll update both shield& sword and diamond& pearl with all Pokémon to date.
Unfortunately, that's the kind of hope that doesn't understand what the games are doing. Pokemon are supposed to be animals (super magically powerful animals but animals nonetheless). As such, they have specific habitats that they live in because those are the conditions that allow them to live and thrive. That's why there are different endemic pokemon per region that logically can't be found anywhere else. What you're asking for (which will be possible eventually because technology will get there in time) is something Game Freak won't do because it goes against their overall plan of creating an entire world.
Your only hope would be a pokemon colosseum type game since the majority of the assets will be the pokemons models and some trainer models. It would be just battles and a few mini games.
Just to restate everything simpler, you'll never what you want even if it is possible because what you're asking for clashes with the long-term plans of Game Freak for pokemon.
Also, we have multiple games with all the pokemon in it: all the pokemon colosseum games, the pokemon rumble games.
Idk I believe most of the newer Pokémon kinda fall off on looks/personalities after gen 4 S&S is an exception though
