I have some fond memories of these sets. Good times. I enjoyed the style of this review, and I look forward to seeing what else you make in the future.
even though kingdoms was a good theme i still liked the fantasy elements more than the dragon nights though i liked the village sets to flesh out the realism of it (at least in my opinion)
I can't bleave that they'd called the farm a village....... it's wonderful but to small I'd say they shuldive added more of what the farm shuld look like with a small simple stone wall or simple fence a small field growing corn or carrots kinda surrounding the barn well.... a wheat field cause of the Mill extended the mill and barn AND a farm house the farm isint complete without a farmhouse for where the farmers live? Eh I'd create sets I'd create Full least with a bit more detail sets complete or separate to add together
This is one of my favorite series they have ever released. It goes so well with the previous castle franchise and allows a large kingdom to be built. It is good to see you posting videos again bud, and I am looking forward to your next big project!
I really like this review! It perfectly describes the pros that the Kingdoms sets had, and contrasts that with the pros of the older castle theme as well. The sound effects and music also spice up the video above the standards of most other lego set reviewers here on youtube. I'll look forward to the Disney castle review, as well as any more reviews you'll have on this channel. Thanks for posting. :)
Thanks, I'm hoping that digging into the "Lego review" market will help bring in enough revenue to the channel to help fund the large brickfilm projects.
this set is amazing, I've had some great times with it and still use its pieces today to build castle themed mocs. By today I mean yesterday to be honest, I have a lot of homework to do right now ;)
WOW! I've seen my fare share of LEGO Reviews. Some are allot of fun, others are a little boring. This is the first Review that really does an excellent job on details, jokes and gives a cool score. And given I have this set, I agree on allot of this. It almost feels like a movie review, or something like Board James. Either way, please make more of these.
Actually back in the 80s there was a number of great civilian sets released as part of the Crusaders theme! Guarded Inn and Blacksmith Shop are two that stand out. But there hadn't been any civilians sets between those and 2009 as far as I know.
Amazing job Doug! Wonderful quality and interview was really interesting to watch. A question! In your Jack Sparrow brickfilm, what did you use for the sky background? How did you get the bottom half lit?
Yeah, I've seen many review youtubers gain many more subscribers than popular brickfilmers. I'm hoping having both on my channel will help it grow. So I'm not quitting the narrative brickfilms, just adding these on the side.
I got this for Christmas back in 5th grade and it will always be my favorite Lego set ever. So pissed at myself for dismantling it and throwing its pieces into the miscellaneous bin😔😔😔
The few things that I liked about this set are the color schemes and the portcullis mechanism, I liked the previous castle “king castle siege” much more
Nice (and fun) review. I dont get, why lego never released any smaller module sets, so you could make the castle bigger without having to buy another castle...
The movie projects are still happening but they take more time and money. The strategy here is to start making a series of videos to bring in enough revenue to help pay for the bigger projects.
I remember when my parents suprised me with this set. I was so happy
I really like this style of review where you give info at the beginning.
Also since I've forgotten since the last video what is the line up of narrative brickfilms?
This is pretty much the only lego theme where red is a color for the good guys.
lol yeah
I have some fond memories of these sets. Good times. I enjoyed the style of this review, and I look forward to seeing what else you make in the future.
Damn this is one of your only reviews and I really liked it, you should continue the lego kingdom’s reviews even tho it’s 5 years later
even though kingdoms was a good theme i still liked the fantasy elements more than the dragon nights though i liked the village sets to flesh out the realism of it (at least in my opinion)
I think the dragon knights look more badass than the lions.

Dragon knight fan all the way wish they got a castle instead of the prisons

So glad you are back Doug!
I really liked this! Especially the historic background in the beginning was nice to see!
Awesome! Great that ur back :)
This style of video is very interesting. Great video! :)
Very creative review! Awesome job
Yay Doug is back! This is Great!
This is the most entertaining reveiw I've ever watched. Very funny
This is a really good review becouse you also give some history of other sets and actual information about the middle ages
Funny and great review, thanks!

Love this Review!
Great review!
I smell a LEGO Kingdoms2 theme in future with the lion knights vs falcon knights
More like the lion knights vs the fright knights
WOW!

I'm gonna try and crank one review out every two weeks.
Fantastic review.
you did a great job of explaining it!
Really good story teller, I'm French and understand everything you say :D

I always liked dragon knights far more than the lion knights, I don't know if the lannisters have something to do with my reasoning btw
I miss Kingdoms and Castle (the 2016 version)
Welcome back.
This is the best review I've ever seen. Even better than Lego's. If you do more of these, I guarantee your channel will grow.

I hope you grow. You really deserve it.
Lego
Oh but this review is so original and so well made!! Could you do one for Knights Kingdom?
Thanks, This was a pilot episode of a potential review series I am thinking about making. I have three un published episodes on my hard drive
I got this for Christmas back in 5th grade and it will always be my favorite Lego set ever. So pissed at myself for dismantling it and throwing its pieces into the miscellaneous bin😔😔😔
This was the first lego set that i had that was big!
I don’t have this, but this set looks interesting. The 1984 set looked very complex for that time.
The few things that I liked about this set are the color schemes and the portcullis mechanism, I liked the previous castle “king castle siege” much more
Nice (and fun) review. I dont get, why lego never released any smaller module sets, so you could make the castle bigger without having to buy another castle...
dam and here I thot I was going to be able to see a tone of lego castle kingdoms sets
What is this? Doug vandegrift in my subscription box? I hope I'm not dreaming :D
The old sets had so many minifigures and horses compared to the new sets.
I want flesh tone castle sets!!!
Lawl I have this set too
I have this and the one at 2:53 it's called royal castle from 1995 and no. 6090
Nice set but no Castle keep .
good review but what happened to the next lego movie you were planning?
The movie projects are still happening but they take more time and money. The strategy here is to start making a series of videos to bring in enough revenue to help pay for the bigger projects.
Doug Vandegrift good to hear, Lego American outlawed is the best lego stop-motion film ever made, keep it up! i liked and shared
more knights castle rewiew's
I had this yet years ago but then my cousin was trying to move it and dropped it.
im so upset i missed out on this theme
I hate how I use to have this set but ended up losing everything to it cause I was like 7 and I wasn't really a collector like now
I wish you would have kept up with these reviews they are even better than jangbricks reviews
hab you make a rewiew of the castle at 2:53 Please
Space Fire LP I have the castle at 2:53 and the one he reviews😎✌🏻
They lost patent for the base plates which is ridiculous don't understand why they can't make different ones.
What is prises of lego sets it kann cost 1000 bokes or cost 8oo krounes
Nice review, but the newer sets aren't nearly as good as the classic ones
Wadah
Is lego castle kingdom are day very price are the lego it very pricy to buy
Why and how to make #Lego #Castle combinations? czcams.com/video/IDkvmxLzeFg/video.html
The old sets looked way better than this newer monstrosity.
classic set was better. It had 11 minifigures, thats crazy
