What addons do you use for enemy and ally frames and to show enemy cds and cc on them? I can't find any of the addons i used to use back in old wotlk years ago, at least not by their original names

why did everyone back then go for big holy fire + smite damage and now no-one does it?
costs too many talent points, and mind spike x2-3 into mind blast does more damage anyways, and in most cases you don't get to do pve damage for very long at a time
@@Joegengstah but why did "everyone" back then do it? i remember being one of the only discs who didnt use these talents + glyphs and all for holy damage
@@johng2794 many people played with smite spam but yea definately not everyone, it depended on the comp you played. Being kicked on smite is also really bad compared to being kicked during your shadow school burst- can't dispel your partner, heal or purge important buffs.
As time goes on and information is more readily avaliable and people play on private servers where "min-max" metas evolve, choice becomes more uniform- although some variety remains. Disc has a lot they can do with their globals and you always have to be repositioning, so often you can't stand still for long at a time. There is also opportunity cost from taking the smite talents, it means you don't get the other talents, so any games where you're the target or can't risk being kicked on holy you arent benefitting from a lot of your talent tree
People did not play that in PvP. You’re thinking specifically in pve content. The atonement talent was just not beneficial in 3s or 2s. But had much higher value in a raid setting.

Professions? I have a disc priest in going to use for pvp only on cats and he only has eng. Was thinking of pairing it with JC
tailoring for sure is the 100% one u always one for cloak proc, but engi doesnt seem bad 2nd
I went with BS/JC. Blacksmithing will become better with epic gems in season 11, and gaining two gem slots lets me hit spell pen cap easier in the meantime. Then it came down to do I want the second profession to be JC for better gems or tailoring for the proc? I decided I would rather rely on permanent stat improvement over a proc, and went JC.
