Ok I'm just gonna say something here. I'm a Christian, let me get that out I used to think I was bi, which was when I was backslid I condemned myself back then, believing the lies of homophobic people. But then, God called me to Himself, away from condemnation, away from all the self pity and sadness. Yes, I still experience a bit of attraction towards girls. But now, it's not I-want-to-marry-you-and-have kids-with-you kind of attraction. It is that girl is pretty, she's beautiful. Just like God made her. See now, it is not that I agree with homophobia, in fact I say a huge NO-NO to it. A lot of people would go ahead and say just cause you don't support my way of life means you hate me. But no it doesn't. I have no reason to hate you, I am literally as bad, sinful, disgusting, immoral as you are. We are both filth, waddling in filth. No one is more clean. I am sinner, you are a sinner. Now I have seen alot of the comments in the section, and it's just "woah". Enough said. Main point is, I've been on both sides of the wall, we can all get over, no matter what you identify as. Just cause I don't agree with you doesn't mean I hate you. (I know this is a terrible analogy, but bear with me) If everyone thought whoever disagreed with them, hated them, no one would have friends, there's always going to be something there that they don't agree on. There are people who struggle with unwanted same sex attraction. We all have all kinds of feelings sexual or otherwise but choose not act on them because we know that acting on them has consequences in our lives.

1. Slavery in the Bible isn’t what you think slavery actually is. We think of chattel slavery, which God actually says to punish an owner for doing (Exodus 21:16). What is mentioned in the Bible is actually indentured, *consensual* servitude that ends in 7 years. 2. You cannot sell your daughter without her consent, but considering God doesn’t allow owners to beat their servants (Exodus 21:26-27) or else he has to let his servant go and pay them the allotted amount that was supposed to be given after the end of the 7 years. 3. This is a ceremonial law given to us so we could enter His temple while remaining pure. Periods are impure because of the blood stench. You are not to get close to or touch blood while in the purification process. This law and similar laws are fulfilled by Jesus Christ (and are in fact, not a sin to not do, because those laws were in context of entering the temple). 4. Animal sacrifices were done in the old testament because life created sin (Adam and Eve), so only death could remove it. This is a highly spiritual aspect in Christianity. When you kill an animal that cannot sin (a lamb), that lamb carries your sins for you and you are cleansed. Jesus Christ died on the cross for us as the final sacrifice (because He is eternal, so the cleansing of sin through Him is eternal as well). He was the lamb of God. Because of this, doing animal sacrifices today are actually deeply insulting. If you look into the deeper details of how Jesus was sacrificed, it IS the most cruel, horrid, and painful way to die. 5. This particular law is specific to the people of Israel at the time. The Sabbath was *deeply* important because it kept the nation’s covenant with God, and if it was broken, very negative consequences would occur. The Sabbath today is indeed for *us*, not for God. If we rest completely every 7th day, we will be blessed both in lifestyle and in spirit. 6. Another ceremonial law for the temple; doesn’t apply today. 7. See, disease and deformity is caused by sin. Because Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, disease, deformity, and corruption was a result. You can only know how to cause harm if you yourself can be harmed in a metaphorical sense, and so deformity comes from sin. Again, this is a ceremonial law purely for being able to witness God in the temple. He is so pure that anything sinful in contact with Him will indeed perish. And so any man with impurity, deformity, and so on (sin) will perish for He is made almost completely of sin. These laws were in fact made to protect us. God doesn’t want us to die in the temple unknowing, so He tells us who can and can’t enter. 8. This is also a ceremonial law. The reason they die is because they…would literally die in the temple. It’s not a punishment, it’s a warning. 9 + 10. All of these laws are also ceremonial laws. To clarify on homosexuality, no, you’re not suddenly a worse scum of a human being because you are one (and to clarify, homosexuality isn’t a sin, only the actual homosexual acts as put in context by the Bible are). Homosexuality is a sin, as is lying, coveting, worrying (because you don’t trust God), and judging somebody (different from discernment and warning, which the Bible tells us to do). I heavily suggest you look into the historical evidence for the resurrection, preferably a book such as “The Case for Christ” and “Did the Resurrection Happen…Really?” They are great, informative books. Once you get through that stage, I *heavily* suggest you go and get the book “The Evidence Bible” (KJV version which is different than the NKJV) by Ray Comfort. Our sexuality is not only a result of the environment we grew up in. Being gay has been found to also be a hereditary trait passed down. They have also found chemicals like serotonin have a profound effect on who we are sexually attracted too. Testosterone tells our body we are male. Estrogen tells our body we are female. While in the womb sometimes chemicals don’t develop properly. Some are born feeling they are in the wrong body. Like a male feels female. @Hezecut Hah, I lived with that logic for half of my life and you know where it got me? Absolute misery and on the brink of suicide. Christians cannot even fathom what they're asking homosexuals to do. Live their lives completely celibate and alone while despising themselves until their bitter end. That's the expectation for a gay christian to be worthy of heaven. I decided I cannot live like this anymore, and I will live as both a transgender and Christian. And if that improves my wellbeing while I adhere to all other laws God has set forth for me, hopefully I can be deemed worthy of entering heaven. Instances of homosexuality and transexuality occur in nature, and when it was condemned during biblical times it was because they were lustful, arrogant evil people, unlike many (not all) of today's homosexuals who aren't consumed with lust, and simply don't want to be alone for the rest of their lives. But I was, and still sort of am a huge Christian conspiracy theorist, and without getting into all that I'll just say I've seen things that permanently prove the existence of Jesus and God in my eyes, which is why I've fought against my nature for as long as I have. But I am 24, and felt this way since I was 12, and living this way has been crippling. I'll still be a christian if I transition, just a far less miserable and far more capable one.

Nothing against us. Against sin. I believe the bible clearly states God's decision on the matter and that if he was in fact alright with it he would have made Jesus say so. As a homosexual woman, I've lived all my adult years happily with my same-sex attraction because I know there's nothing wrong with it. I accept my attraction to other women, and as a result of accepting my same-sex attraction, my homosexuality has only ever brought me happiness, fulfilment and joy. I feel so lucky to not only live in a country where I don't have to face persecution and possibly death penalty for something harmless that I can't control, but also to have been raised by a single mother who loves me for who I am. Such as, why is it a major part of it, what about it is needed to carry out the message of the story. First of all we should know that religious scripts were written long ago. At that time homosexuality existed in secrecy. And in Leviticus 18:22 it says “Man shall not lie with man, for it is an abomination,” the 1800s German version says “Man shall not lie with young boys as he does with a woman, for it is an abomination.” And in Leviticus 20:13- same thing, “Young boys.” And when you go to 1 Corinthians to see how they translated arsenokoitai (original Greek word) and instead of homosexuals it said, “Boy molesters will not inherit the kingdom of God.” And then again the same thing in the 1534 German bible, they had used the word (that is now translated as homosexual) “knabenschander” which translates to boy molester. And there is a bunch of proof of it. I really appreciate the personal examples of brokenness in personality. I'm a gay Christian wrestling a lot with these issues, and I hear a lot of Christians say they don't think they're better than queer people, but the humility to actually confess those deep-seated things makes a big difference

First of all, there is no human being on this planet no matter what age that does not know procreation can only be accomplished through heterosexual intercourse. This pastor and many others like him assume all people who are not heterosexual are totally oblivious to this knowledge.

1. Slavery in the Bible isn’t what you think slavery actually is. We think of chattel slavery, which God actually says to punish an owner for doing (Exodus 21:16). What is mentioned in the Bible is actually indentured, *consensual* servitude that ends in 7 years.
2. You cannot sell your daughter without her consent, but considering God doesn’t allow owners to beat their servants (Exodus 21:26-27) or else he has to let his servant go and pay them the allotted amount that was supposed to be given after the end of the 7 years.
3. This is a ceremonial law given to us so we could enter His temple while remaining pure. Periods are impure because of the blood stench. You are not to get close to or touch blood while in the purification process. This law and similar laws are fulfilled by Jesus Christ (and are in fact, not a sin to not do, because those laws were in context of entering the temple).
4. Animal sacrifices were done in the old testament because life created sin (Adam and Eve), so only death could remove it. This is a highly spiritual aspect in Christianity. When you kill an animal that cannot sin (a lamb), that lamb carries your sins for you and you are cleansed. Jesus Christ died on the cross for us as the final sacrifice (because He is eternal, so the cleansing of sin through Him is eternal as well). He was the lamb of God. Because of this, doing animal sacrifices today are actually deeply insulting. If you look into the deeper details of how Jesus was sacrificed, it IS the most cruel, horrid, and painful way to die.
5. This particular law is specific to the people of Israel at the time. The Sabbath was *deeply* important because it kept the nation’s covenant with God, and if it was broken, very negative consequences would occur. The Sabbath today is indeed for *us*, not for God. If we rest completely every 7th day, we will be blessed both in lifestyle and in spirit.
6. Another ceremonial law for the temple; doesn’t apply today.
7. See, disease and deformity is caused by sin. Because Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, disease, deformity, and corruption was a result. You can only know how to cause harm if you yourself can be harmed in a metaphorical sense, and so deformity comes from sin. Again, this is a ceremonial law purely for being able to witness God in the temple. He is so pure that anything sinful in contact with Him will indeed perish. And so any man with impurity, deformity, and so on (sin) will perish for He is made almost completely of sin. These laws were in fact made to protect us. God doesn’t want us to die in the temple unknowing, so He tells us who can and can’t enter.
8. This is also a ceremonial law. The reason they die is because they…would literally die in the temple. It’s not a punishment, it’s a warning.

To clarify on homosexuality, no, you’re not suddenly a worse scum of a human being because you are one (and to clarify, homosexuality isn’t a sin, only the actual homosexual acts as put in context by the Bible are). Homosexuality is a sin, as is lying, coveting, worrying (because you don’t trust God), and judging somebody (different from discernment and warning, which the Bible tells us to do).
I hope this helps clarify some things for you. I heavily suggest you look into the historical evidence for the resurrection, preferably a book such as “The Case for Christ” and “Did the Resurrection Happen…Really?” They are great, informative books. Once you get through that stage, I *heavily* suggest you go and get the book “The Evidence Bible” (KJV version which is different than the NKJV) by Ray Comfort. It’s an absolutely amazing book for answering almost all common (and uncommon) questions the unsaved typically have.

Our sexuality is not only a result of the environment we grew up in. Being gay has been found to also be a hereditary trait passed down. They have also found chemicals like serotonin have a profound effect on who we are sexually attracted too. Testosterone tells our body we are male. Estrogen tells our body we are female. While in the womb sometimes chemicals don’t develop properly. Some are born feeling they are in the wrong body. Like a male feels female. They don’t choose this their brain chemistry is different than straight people. It’s NOT A SIN TO BE YOURSELF. SHAME ON ANYONE WHO JUDGES THAT.

But I was, and still sort of am a huge Christian conspiracy theorist, and without getting into all that I'll just say I've seen things that permanently prove the existence of Jesus and God in my eyes, which is why I've fought against my nature for as long as I have. But I am 24, and felt this way since I was 12, and living this way has been crippling. I'll still be a christian if I transition, just a far less miserable and far more capable one.

As a homosexual woman, I've lived all my adult years happily with my same-sex attraction because I know there's nothing wrong with it. I accept my attraction to other women, and as a result of accepting my same-sex attraction, my homosexuality has only ever brought me happiness, fulfilment and joy. I feel so lucky to not only live in a country where I don't have to face persecution and possibly death penalty for something harmless that I can't control, but also to have been raised by a single mother who loves me for who I am. I send my happiness and love to all my fellow homosexuals out there, no matter if they're being forced by religious nonsense to struggle with themselves or if they're comfortable like me with how they are.

2. As said in the bible, if anything exists, it is God's will. If God had a "way", he would not have created love between two people from the same gender. +FEE LYNN, I don't think it's biblical to hate homosexual people and become anti-gay activists. Having sinful desires for unnatural relations is just as sinful as the desires to steal, to lie, to hate etc., but Jesus came to break the bondage of sin. Our reverence and love for God should result in true compassion for those who are struggling, because there are homosexual people who have listened, their hearts changed, and turned away from that sin.
Struggles against sin are in all of our lives, no matter our sexual orientation. If we're against anything at all, it should be sin itself, and more importantly we should be fighting FOR love, faith, and righteousness in salvation because of what Christ did for us.

The word “arsenokoitai” only shows up in 2 verses but it wasn’t meant to translate to homosexual till 1946. And in Leviticus 18:22 it says “Man shall not lie with man, for it is an abomination,” the 1800s German version says “Man shall not lie with young boys as he does with a woman, for it is an abomination.” And in Leviticus 20:13- same thing, “Young boys.” And when you go to 1 Corinthians to see how they translated arsenokoitai (original Greek word) and instead of homosexuals it said, “Boy molesters will not inherit the kingdom of God.” And then again the same thing in the 1534 German bible, they had used the word (that is now translated as homosexual) “knabenschander” which translates to boy molester. And there is a bunch of proof of it. And you should genuinely educate yourself regardless of your option on homosexuality, if u want to and want to use a Christian resource, go to the United Methodist insight website
