other than = besides = in addtional to = together with
All are inguistically inter-changeable in terms of meanings and applications
I would want to believe that, there is no synonymies in quran, two "totally" different quranic words should have at least two separate and distinct meanings/applications. Especially if we put in the context of the verses

Call upon Allah or Call upon the Rahman,
But not call upon The Rahman or call upon The Rahīm.
2:186 - To receive a response to your Dua is conditional: you must first respond to Allah’s call- the entire Quran. Once a person follow’s the instructions within the Quran, the response to their Dua will bear fruit. "....So let them respond to Me [by obedience]"

There is always room for improvement in our understanding of the Quran but I will use the BEST THING YOU SAID at the 1:00:20 mark when you quoted Surah Al-Fathiha verse 5.
What a difference a conjunction makes!!!
Let us spot the subtle but marked difference between:
#1. Guide us the Straight path.
#2. Guide us TO the straight path.
The first one is a statement of fact saying, *the straight path is guiding us* which will make perfect sense when you come across such verses:
6:153 And this is My straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways, for they separate you from His way. This is what He instructed you to it so that you may be cautious (of God).
So, what is this "straight path?"
Answer: The Quran!
Here is another verse:
24:46 Verily, We have sent down Verses clear. And Allah guides whom He wills to a path straight.
How does Allah GUIDE whom He wills to the straight path?
a.) the Quran, or
b.) the Sahihs Hadiths/seera/oral traditions invented by humans?
Answer: the Quran!!!
However if you misunderstood 1:5 as a supplication/duaa... then you are _"praying/supplication to your Genie-cum-God"_ to MIRACULOUSLY guide you to the straight path because you Know the right modern-day Arabic words to influence favors from your God.
Sunnism, Shiitism & Sectarianism ain't Islam! It is a man-invented religion.
On the other hand, if you put the Quran at the center of your understanding of the One True God... then everything becomes self-explanatory... EASY!
And... this is Islam!

This is the Islam of the Quran.
We have now an unbreakable bond/connection with the One True God... the Creator of everything that exists!
