The player wants to exists if you want them to be, you can tell undertale's story perfectly without some omni-powerful entity who isn't present anywhere and is unaccountable. I personally vastly prefer this video's kind of storytelling cause it prevents chara or frisk from being meat puppet martyrs who can't be blamed for anything, that's boring and done to death, at least this way there's some in universe drama instead of just shrugging off and being like ''must have been the equivalent of god I guess"

Have you played the genocide route, the file is corrupted at the end which disproves it, then there's the world changing- reacting to our actions as monsters dust left and right. The player does exist because flowey talks to us directly after the pacifist fight and not to frisk but us the player. Besides who says chara and/or frisk didn't enjoy the genocide at some point? The only evidence here would be the reaction you get when an encounter happens changing from -_- to the smile

(Like how seeing a sci Fi film and how the AI's motivation of destroying humanity is usually because they see humanity as a plague or any other movie/book/anime cliche that gets overdone) NOW, I'm not saying this "blame player" Cliche is bad.
