- To celebrate that ReinXeed (now Majestica) celebrates 20 years there will be a couple of videos on CZcams to celebrate this! Some re-recordings of some old ReinXeed songs that deserves more time in the spotlight - in my opinion.
So let's start with the first one - "The Light" from the album "The Light".
The original song was recorded when I was 18 years old, released 2 years later on Rivel Records and have been performed live several times with ReinXeed.

I discovered Tommy through Sabaton (a fan since 2006). Little by little I'm discovering the musical past of this incredible musician, and I'm more and more amazed. This track is incredible, with a musicality that takes you into a whirlwind of sensations. What creative genius! I'm a guitarist and I love to see Tommy's fingers running along the neck of his guitar. Under his magic fingers, his guitar comes to life, it seems to be singing, screaming. I can't wait for the next Majestica. Thank you Tommy for being who you are, don't change a thing!

What can I say, now we’re 2 month since my last time commenting on this. And I feel way too few people giving Tommy credit for his, well, everything he is doing. There are so many great songs he put on CZcams, which are often far better than the original versions (in my own personal opinion), and the amount of „reactions“ which I sometimes (depending on the person reacting) love to watch. And Tommy hasnt gotten that a lot, and he sure deservers those a lot more.
Not only that he speaks/sings really awesome Italian, but he can cover pretty much any song and if the song wasn’t awesome before he did the cover, it was sure after. His way of putting his very awesome style of power metal to a song, even if the song never knew Metal before, I mean come on. He did that Rocky Training Montage, which I personally think is far better than the original. Again, Tommy gets his fingers on something, and it gets better than it was originally. If they decide to make another Rocky movie at some (you never know these days), I would suggest to use Tommy’s music for that as soundtrack. Sure, there are a lot of talented Soundtrack composers out there, but Tommy really knows how things should sound as well. His talent is incredible, and I think that’s still an understatement. He does great with Sabaton (and lets think about it, as much as I love Sabaton, but I think they wouldn’t be half as good without him), he has his own band Majestica (which in my opinion made the best Christmas album since the invention of Christmas.
An album which manages something I have never witnessed before. You know, the years closes and the winter comes closer, people get into that spirit, you know because its that time of the year. But would you otherwise, lets say in June or May get into the Christmas mood otherwise on your own, I doubt it. But the Christmas album from Majestica is like a Instant-Christmas joy enabler, and no other music album can do that in my opinion. So essentially, Christmas outgrew its usual time of year with this album, but Christmas and that time of year even got better since.) which is awesome, but then there is just him. And he could do without all them, and still be awesome. Not to mention that in my own opinion, his sympathy factor is like Level 1.000.000.000.000.000 plus all the bonus levels.
That’s the guy you want to know, he’s the guy you wanted as a friend in your life. With myself battling with health pretty much most of my life, I often feel down and staying positive often is a real challenge. And when you’re really down, there aren’t many things that can uplift you. Unless you have great friends and people you trust with your life, and you need great music which for me is the no.1 healing item on this planet. And listening to Tommy and his awesome voice (man, he is like a male Floor Jansen with an insane range of voice, especially and that’s just the cherry on top, a more higher voice as a male as most people have), what can I say, makes me feel good, no matter if I in reality dont feel good at all. Being with Metal and Power Metal and all these things since 1987, and I came across a lot of bands and music over the years.
And being from Germany, bands like Halloween and musicians like Kai Hansen, Michael Kiske, Tobias Sammet, it was literally Melodic Metal wonderland here. Long before the phrase Power Metal was even in use. And with all that, I have never heard a better fitting & sounding voice for this genre, but also a lot others, since he has such a voice you could use for all sorts of music. I mean, his Disney / Sabaton covers, if I wouldn’t know the movies from back then and most of the soundtracks, I would go to the movies if he would sing for it. As a musician he is a real gift to us as people, there aren’t many true blessed people that are as awesome as Tommy is. And since talent isn’t something that’s raining from the heavens, trust me I can confirm that from myself :D , for me this is a gift to hear others that have that.
And the little I have seen from him as a person, would be enough to wish for that kinda person in my life, as a friend. The positivity he displays is incredible, and not everyone has that. The summer has come to an end, soon Autumn will come and then we have Winter (although, here in this part of Germany we hadn’t had a winter you could call that for many many years), and the hope for this year to be the year when I will finally be able to see Majestica in Oberhausen, is getting up. After having to wait for this for a couple of years, the ticket’s already collecting dust on the wall, waiting for it to be used, I am really looking forward to see that band. Knowing my luck, and what panic our ***** health minister, Mr. Lauterbach, will be making until this time has come, I just hope the concert is going to happen finally this year.
I am sorry if I bored most people here with this long post, but I felt I had to talk about more what Tommy is so special for me, and hopefully is for other people too. Thanks Tommy for just being, I wonder, when you were a little boy and probably singing in church choir, right ? I mean, you must have made them all sweat with your voice, right ? :)

I love several music genres predominantly full symphony orchestra compositions from the 1600s to present day and I love hard rock metal from genius musicians like Zeppelin to Rush to pop geniuses like ABBA to current day 2020 talents. But that said I have never seen such a multi dimensional musical talent with the actual high level skills with which to perform and produce the way young Mr. Johansson can. His talent is the most outrageous talent I've seen anywhere in any of the worlds top highest selling music since perhaps Mozart or or Zeppelin or ABBA. He's so good I still wonder if his music is somehow BS but scary thing is, it real. In a world full of BS propaganda and sociopathic narcism, Tommy is a breath of fresh air!!!!!

I think after listening to this song another few hundred times, i have come to see this song as one my all-time-ever power metal songs, and i am with metal since 1987. I have heard a loooot over the years, and being from Germany myself, the land where such iconic bands like Helloween have painted the power metal sky with their awesome songs, way before anyone came up with the name "Power Metal". And while some of their songs are the hymns of the early "Speed Metal" are what is today referred to as the songs that created this genre, since I listen to Majestica i have come to see that there are even better songs out there. Plus, there arent many vocalists out there, especially male, with such a voice !
But this song to me, having heard it on CZcams so often that even the Browser dont want to play it anymore, has become my new favourite song of all songs, when it comes to this incredible positivity and power combined with Tommy's angel-like voice. Having to deal with health issues my whole life, next to feeling like ***** often because of that, music is next to my gf the only light in my life, giving me the strength to go on. And when you listen to such a song, and it makes you tear up every time and even while you feel bad because of lots of other reasons, this can make it all worth it.
Thank you Tommy for giving me and us such incredible music !!!!! My Majestica ticket is already waiting for a long long time to see you here in Germany, and I hope this year i finally have the chance on December 18th to finally see you guys in Oberhausen. And this is the best pre-Christmas gift, right after this song, that I can get. ;)

I've been listening to ReinXeed/Majestica since I discovered Tommy a year and a half ago, and this re-recording of TheLight shows that Tommy is getting better and better.
