    Question: Isn't it a repulsion force, rather than an attraction force? An attraction force might result in moving to the nearest location, whereas a repulsion force would take it to the further location, it seems to me.

    The animation is really nice... but you forget something. what if you take a 3phase electric motor as example. the same function (magnetic fields attract the opposite magnet pole), but you have 3 stators. these v-gate design needs in this design only one force who pushes it over the "end". this means it es very energy efficient if you use it with a motor as a power save motor. 80/90% energy is one turn in one direction. then the electric motor give some energy and pushes it. And yes it is not PM.

    It doesn't work for you, because you just want to quit trying... Please don't encourage others to also quit! There is a balance half moon that lift the bar magnet at the exact top point. The specific weight of the half moon falling, help the continuous movement of the cylinder when it reach the end, right at the choke point, it help the continuos movement by gravity force. It will also need a small magnet bar in the bottom, that need to be timed when the half moon is at the very bottom, this also aid the continuous movement, if timed properly. There is millions ways for perpetual motion, but most of us as individuals does not have all the skills to produce a perfect machine like it's need it for perpetual motion. You should look at every video of V gate Howard Johnson in CZcams or go to motion magnetic channel and you will be the one that let the world know that this really works... Great video presentation..just inaccurate information.

    These sort of machines, made with magnets, are NOT perpetual motion machines. A perpetual motion machine must have no input of energy, and any machine made with a magnet does not fit that qualification. They're definitely cool, and I'm not suggesting that they don't work. But they aren't by definition, perpetual motion machines.

    • @jordi3736
      @jordi3736  Před 8 lety

      The magnets are inside the system , does aren`t input energy from outside. The perpetual motion machine don't exist.

    • @TonecrafteLuthiery
      @TonecrafteLuthiery Před 8 lety +2

      jordi3736 I had a little trouble understand your comments because of the phrasing, but I think we're on the same page. A perpetual motion machine, by definition, cannot exist. That is not to say that you can't make a machine, like the bird toy that dips it's beak into a glass of water, that will work without any noticeable energy source. But without exception, the 'perpetual motion machines' that you see on youtube have a source of energy. In the case of this video, the machine was using magnetic energy as source for motion. In the case of the classic bird toy, it uses the heat (energy) from the air around it.
      These machines are definitely cool, and they may have practical, real world applications. But they aren't perpetual motion machines because they draw energy from a source, in this case magnetism.

    • @vitorneto8062
      @vitorneto8062 Před 7 lety +1

      The perpetual motion machines actually have a source of energy, which is gravity. In the above example the machine does not work, because it has to be through repulsion, not attraction.

    • @robinbelden1597
      @robinbelden1597 Před 6 lety

      When you have a device that has output . . higher than the input . . you have perpetual motion. So if there is an input power of any sort and the machine has to have an output greater than . . then it can self-supply with a net gain in power output. This design is clumsy and could perhaps work but I do not see balance to achieve higher speeds and doubtful if potential output is worth the effort. The magnets on the discharge side will work against the magnets on the receiving side greatly reducing power output of the actual theory. The point of recycle with the magnets on the armature (where it jumps across back to start) will create an imbalance due to the increased forces at that point, there would have to be a change in spacing at that point to help balance, I just visualize surging. Bottom line . . if it actually works it would be very low actual output of power. There is an easy way to direct the forces more effectively on the armature, by simply using magnets at a slight angle, with a tapered edge.

    Nice waste of time, not enough force? okay so magnet with a good 120 KG of pulling power isn't powerful in your opinion i guess? It can be done its all about timing and balancing weights plus low friction as possible. Its not that it can't be achieved its the fact we don't get enough surplus energy to be some thing tangible.

      James Smith - I am not a scientific guy by a long shot. I was wondering why such a motor could not function as a windmill does. Is it the case that the magnets don't have enough force to spin a device quickly/forcefully enough to generate any meaningful energy output?

    • @jaycool5978
      @jaycool5978 Před 7 lety +1

      +mammothfilms when the megents are spinning they come into contact with eachother either attracting, which will pull themselves together. Will help on approach although whist leaving each other it becomes a problem. Another problem is is reserve you want them to push away whist leaving but attracting on approach.
      Thia creates friction, which will slow it down. Can't overcome it with more powerful megnets as it make the matters worse. Providing they're pushing and pulling at the right time it will maintain their momentum. Potential speed will still be reduced by the friction.
      Overall momentum may be enough to keep it going however may not have enough to be used for anything else or much else.

  • @theoriginalmakaaka101
    @theoriginalmakaaka101 Před 5 lety

    First of all, your design isn't even balanced. You have too many magnets in one row which means your device will get stuck heavy end down. Then, you need to build an asymmetrical arm that is symmetrical in weight despite being asymmetrical in shape. This arm will be used to push the suspended magnet attractor so that is temporarily distanced from the magnets. You will want to use gravity to bring this back as gears result in friction which results in loss. The angle of the arm and the distance pushed away must be as gradual/minimal as possible else you will lose momentum due to forces or friction. The idea isn't to get an infinite cycle as that is impossible. Think more along the lines of the difference in quality between a bicycle wheel made in China compared to a racing bicycle wheel made in Italy. The difference is enormous and as a result you can perpetuate the spin a lot longer. You will never get 'free' energy however you can perpetuate the spin a long time and use other things like Wind, Solar, Water current etc to help trigger the device so you can use it to make beautiful things like Kinetic Art. The idea in any thing should be optimization and any optimization is a good thing because it affects other things. For example, using better wheel bearing allows a rider to travel further with a reduced energy cost. Likewise, Kinetic art can spin a little longer until the wind comes back to get the momentum really going again.
