Of course here in Dakar, Senegal our taxi can drove you at your doorstep unless you request for it and depend on the transport services you requested from the driver. You are right our Taxi are a little bit expensive but easy to go.

Get a tour guide and ask him to connect you with people who speak english, or start an activity (sports or something artistic) you will make friends from being there often, don’t worry too much you will make friends without even trying, just be natural calm and open
