Reasoning being the people I've come to love. Once they're gone I just don't want to form those new relationships doomed to repeat the cycle again. Some people would argue that people are replaceable or that you'd become numb to it or that you'd make so much money but I don't care about money that much and to me, the people I love are not replaceable.

I care because I sold a bunch of these back in the day!! I will switch between the Pegasus and Vomero lines for my running and work out needs. I was highly tempted to switch to the Winflo because the full length Air was so comfy! I went with the Peg 40 since the Zoom bag is back in the heel (Peg 36-39 only had front Zoom Air, React everywhere else). It makes a huge difference in stability, especially when React breaks down.
I’m eyeballing these so hard. I still think New Balance is superior (especially the 990 series) and the perfect balance of a running and lifestyle shoe, but I will likely grab these to add to the lineup. As a Raiders fan, just another kick I can rock with my white Raiders gear.

Honestly Chris, dad shoe or not, I think you can rock anything no problem and not even look “ too old “ rocking it. I feel like age caps is just a generalization. It’s really all about style preferences at the end of the day in my humble opinion. I could never hop on that train of people who judge what other people wear based off of age. And I probably wouldn’t want to be immortal. Just because I wouldn’t want to live forever without my family. I feel like that would be horrible, especially in the direction this world and current times are moving in.
Made a weird rotation decision involving these. I sold a pair of J4 Red Cement because I had 2 pairs of red in my collection (J1 Next Chapter), then decided to pick up some new gym shoes instead. These 2005s made the cut. Just waiting for them to arrive. Thanks for the review 👍

These are fresh! Picked up the Nike P-6000s last year which are in the same line as the Pegasus and those are mighty comfy 🙌 Ps. Gotta stick around for the entire rambling!
I stand by my stance from the previous video regarding the immortal question. Lol. As for the shoes, I love the Pegasus line….I had the 2002 version of the shoes, similar design language but the 2k5s are a little more refined. I miss BRS1000 rubber, but i also understand that it might be heavier than whatever compound they use now since it’s the highest carbon rubber they had in their stable. Even the Prestos had BRS1000. Which makes me wonder…….are they still actually implementing BRS1000 rubber to that shoe and those like it in that era, or is it printed because the molds had them there already. 🤓🤔
dude i wear my vomero's for my daily walks too and ive been pretty sad about how fast the outsole rubber wears away... thought i was the only one who noticed that
I love these early 2000 runners, got the P6000 when they released. Unfortunately these are heavily overpriced here in the eu. Regarding immortality, check out the movie "the man from earth" from 2007. It spins this idea in a very serious way, it's mainly a drama and not scifi.
Really comfy shoe, especially if you have a job where you’re standing all day. Vomero 5’s are the comfiest followed by P-6000’s and I would rank these #3
I've always found running shoes and skate shoes as comfy daily wear (e.g. nike flex, ultra/pureboost, dunk pro, airwalk (the original ones)). must be hard to outlive friends and loved ones.

I think the question of the day about being immortal is a loaded question that begs other questions such as will I age and what the quality of my life would be. If I was able to stay a certain age (i.e. between 20-30), be healthy, and had Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos money, sure I think that could be really fun for a while, but I think that at some point, your going to have done and experienced everything you've ever wanted and any relationships (family, friends, etc) you have would end at some point, so then you will probably end up feeling lonely and/or depressed. So I think that you probably don't want that immortality.
Being immortal, you might as well become a historian so you can record history. You can build a business out of it. I liked the shoes and was going to get a pair but they sold out instantly. I was surprised as I thought they were going to sit. Adidas has a similar pair that came out, Spiritain 2000. I think I'm going to grab a pair of those instead.

i use to sell those like hot cakes. it was the bread and butter of my days at nike. once i got people to put them on foot they flew out the door. cheap and effective neutral runner. it's a trip to see them back as a retro.
While I would love to be immortal to see and experience the world far into the future, at some point all life would go extinct on Earth and you'd be by yourself just floating in space and that is pretty haunting. So, I'll pass on immortality.

Try the p-6000, I think they're better than the Vomero 5s and 40-50 less in cost
