- Are you new to using a second cylinder for bailout, redundency, pony or decompression gases? In this video I'll attempt to show you how to setup a rigging kit to allow you to securly mount this cylinder often known as a stage.
Using either a home made or shop bought rigging kit fitted correctly to your aluminium cylinder will allow you to safely use, access and control it on your deeper, longer and more adventurous dives.

I really like the Dive Rite side mount stage cylinder rigging. I originally purchased mine to support a single AL80 cylinder staged as a lift bag supply instead of using my breathing gas. Now that I am focused on working towards Technical certification I think I will add a few more of these same Dive Rite kits to me cart. Cheers mate, great gear makes for great opportunities.
Thanks for watching pal
Hi Andy, thanks for the great content. Could you produce a video to show how to make your own rigging kit please?
Yeah Iâll definitely give that a go
i thought the handle was not a handle after time it will become entanglement point cause you put tension on it's rather to follow to get to bottom d ring and or hold the mouth piece of your regulator, isn't it ?
Iâve heard that too, but do what you want mate, itâs your kit
no worries you do excellent video i learn a lot from them i am just challenging you đ
Nice clip but how do you configure the band height.. For example on sidemount i need 48cm (183cm height) from middle of the valve till the camband boltsbap. Just measured my bm harness, from top dring to belt dring clip is 26cm but i find too short sooo whats the rule of thumb? Plsd to hear your thoughts. Cheers from Hamburg
I seem to remember my instructor measured under my armpit to the waist band and got something like 16â so from the top of the cylinder valve to the bolt snap. Other than that you could lay on the floor and put your cylinders where you want them and have a friend mark where the d rings are and start from there đ€·ââïž
Mornings!
All good mate did same already shoulder to dring is abt 31cm(13inch) and have simo slack on the boltsnap to adjust, rest need to dive for finetuning... Have a nice day and happy/safe divesđ
Thanks mate
@@AndytheNorthernDiver out of curiosity, do you sidemount as well? If yes where do you attach your camera rig? On backmount is easy have it on the sides but on sidemount place is taken..
Yeah I sidemount using the Xdeep stealth Tec 2 harness, I just clip up my camera to the right shoulder D ring like I do on all configurations
