Updated version of the old tutorial. Are there other old tutorials that you want to see an updated version of?
Maybe an updated puffypaw tutorial?
I'd like to see a plastic bowl eye tutorial, even if it's an old method. My fursona has a single, large, round convex eye inspired by N. Gin (the character in my pfp). I want to do something similar to that without using a round mesh. Besides that, I think they look great for a 3D eye that pops out. Very toony.
Puffy paws
maybe a wickerbeast headbase tutorial? i barely see them anywhere lol
@@fuzzybuzzy3159 I've never used plastic bowls and I don't plan using that
I love the tutorial, but I can't stress how much I freaked out when you started touching the hot glue-
it wasn't that much so it gets cold very quick

Mugiwara is it possible to do raptor’s eyes in 3D?
I mean w/o that middle part, just strips?
Yes
It is possible! I recommend checking out Nefertiti's video on making her dino masks, or her tik tok. She explains it very well ;)

Working on a Giant Panda fursuit right now, and using all of your tutorials. They are so helpful. Thank you so much!
I'm actually somewhat using this for my dino mask eyes. Haven't done it yet but it looks really affective, good job OwO
Me too
This video was great! Do you think you could make a video on how to insert them onto the base though? I'm gonna make my second suit soon and I did 2D eyes on the first one and would love to try 3D. I'm just bamboozled as to how you place them correctly
I already have videos on that
What’s best is to get the closest shape you can. It’s better if the eye is slightly smaller than larger as the strip can be glued down. After you line the eyes and have the fur sewn to the eye lining, put your eye in one hand and your hand in the socket of the head. Use your fingers in a claw shape to open up the socket as much as you can without ripping it. Put the eye in, applying pressure to push it in on the flat foam part near the crack between the bottom and strip. Remove your hand from the socket and rotate the eye into the correct position. After it’s mostly in, I pin it so it doesn’t slide out the back of the head. If the strip is wrinkling form the socket being too tight, hot glue it in the middle of the curve being pushed up. Finally, glue the eye in between the foam strip and eye lining. Finish up with a felt strip glued on to clean up the edge

this helps me alot, thx u so much!
About to start my first fursuit! Not sure if a saber-tooth is a good starter, but whatever. Thanks for the tutorial!
When I drybrush warhammer models I dry the brush off on a tissue to get the moisture off, that should prevent the holes getting filled with paint.
oh my gosh, amazing the toturial♡♡♡
This helps sooo much since I’m making a duchtie call Neo 😁❤️
Tell Neo I said hi!
I love your work!
In the future can you make a wickerbeast headbase tutorial none on youtube and im sure it would help lots of other beasts
This video helped a lot THANK YOU!!! But quick question, can we also use buckram in stead of the pvc mesh? Again THANK YOU FOR THIS TUTORIAL, IT’S AMAZING 🤩!!
This actually seems really easy

HOW DO YOU MAKE THE GLUE LOOK SO NEAT WOT- I CANT GLUE WITHOUT IT LOOKIN LIKE A RATS NEST ;w;
Thank you so much!🤩
Hiya! I was wondering, when gluing my foam to the balaclava it tends to soak through, and when it dries it leaves this rough patch of hot glue rubbing against your face, I was wondering if theres any ways to stop this? Is it the balaclava I'm using or maybe the glue temp if wrong?
Ty for reading peeps uwu
you may just be using too much glue. If you need a lot for the balaclava to stick, probably switch to a stronger glue that avoid having thick pieces
Try a spray adhesive, I like gorilla glue spray for fabric. Just make sure you hold it down till it's completely adhered 😁
Mugiwara, I love your vids and I was wondering if you could maybe do a nub tail tutorial? I have a polar bear fursona but I don’t know how to go about making her tail.
meep is cheap Mugiwara has a rabbit tail tutorial, it could work, but if not, I’m sorry.
czcams.com/video/4CQMLjUikK8/video.html
It is the same thing as a long tail, but shorter. :)
Good work👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have a quick question, so for my first fur suit I used scrap pieces of a horse fly mask. Do you recommend a different material? It still looks the same but I feel like the small holes in the mask are a little more noticeable.
I don't know what a "horse fly mask" is so I can't answer
It is basically a mask that you put over a horses face so flys don’t bite their face. It’s see through so that’s why I used it. It’s ok if you can’t answer, it works pretty well if you ask me. :p
Well considering the fact that most non equestrians think we blindfold our horses with them, I think you’re fine lol. That’s actually a really cool idea!
Dragonsheart 55 yeah lol. And thank you!
actually yes that sounds perfect
WOO I'M EARLY 25TH LIKE!!
Wow congrats
Me every time I’m hot gluing something: PAIN IS NO EXCUSE ;_;
Lol I agree, just dont get too hurt! (Don't wanna leave behind a scar or something) ;-P
Im gonna get help from my parents or someone who atleast knows- but I wouldnt with my friends cause im sure they will mess it up lmao
how many mm thick would you recommend the foam to be?? :0 also tysm for this!!!!!
Now I know what to use for eyes gonna make raptor mask
Thanks
Hey, I have a quick question, do you think that this would work on a mask? I'm making a Kitsune mask for a cosplay I'm doing and would like the follow-me eyes if they're possible in my project
It can work on a mask but fursuits usually have an inch or so of foam in the eye socket, which makes it so an inch wide strip makes no contact with your face. If you are doing it on a mask, they’re usually more flat and close to your face. Try to make the strip width smaller or when you’re making the mask have enough space for the eyes to recede to avoid contact
So when you paint buckrum do you just paint right on it or dab a little off the paintbrush?
I don't use buckram
So I have like these mats that are thin and flexible, and I was wondering if those would work as a replacement? And also, if they do work, could I paint on it? Because they arent white
I don't know what that is so I can't answer
Is it ok if I cut out the foam eyes and pupil part and trace that?
I. Working on a edgy alien sui,t right now thank u
Спасибо за все знания в крафте 🌘〰️🌒
Cool 😎😍
Hey so I was wondering, does this work for you if you sweat? When I used this method years ago I would sweat and it would warp the foam. I now use plastic sheets for the back but I wanted to know if it really works.
I use it for my cosplays (and Dorago also still has them) and I've never had problems.
(I use resin casted blanks for commissions)
cool ^w^
For a while, I have been wondering if u can put follow me eyes on the bucket method.
When you make your bucket head, layer up the foam around the eyes so it’s the depth of the eyes you’re gonna make. I make an eye template and trace it on the foam and cut it out so that it’s almost an exact shape. Everything else is the same as on here

How thick of foam do we need?
Can you do a maned wolf head tutorial? It's ok if no!
Question: can you use paper glue? Or does it have to be hot glue? For the foam
I would not recommend that. Paper glue is made for paper
@@MugiwaraCosplay ok!
If the white of the eye is not white, can we paint the craft foam? Or does it not work?
Also, thank you for this video, it's really helpful !
You just use craft foam in the color that you want
@@MugiwaraCosplay Okay, thank you :)
You can airbrush or dry brush craft foam. It’s probably best to airbrush though to avoid brush marks. Both ways, use airbrush paint as they don’t flake or wash nearly as easy as acrylic or watercolors
